Review

The team behind Black Marble Collective always seem to have a treat or two hidden up their sleeves. This latest collection from Zeez is a fabulous look into that creativity as we open up with the lofi drum shuffles and addictive high-pitched vocal samples of 'Pretty Hands'. Next, the title track 'Equinox' slides into view with a gorgeous array of organic-sounding drum shuffles and crunchy rhythmic arrangements, topped with eerie bass drives and a seriously progressive instrumental design. We then dive head first into two remixes, firstly hearing Sicaa deliver a colourful trip hop rethink, followed by a spritely garage-inspired twist up from NPHONIX. This is another wicked showing from the Black Marble crew.
