Review: Followers of ragga influenced jungle will already know all about Furney, he's earned his stripes, with releases on labels such as LDMusic, Good Looking Records, C.I.A Deep Kut and Liquid V to name a few, here we see what he's got for Soul Deep Exclusives 'Jamacian Jazz' is a nostalgic stroll down the road of jungle past with the bulk of the track built around real twangs of bass, and jungle breaks which we can't help but relate back to Roni Size's influential New Forms LP. 'See Mi Yah' is a sunshine drenched squeeze of ragga jungle with quick amens placed between syncopated patterns. 'Iowa' is our favourite track of the release, fast passed drums tumbling like cascading waterfalls, a deadly low sub sulking beneath the track ready to pounce and hot horns bringing some sun.

Review: Remember the deliciously dark art of sample craft? Mystic Trip does; and "This Feeling" captures it gracefully. Just a swaying woodwind chord change from a dusty record is all you need with the right rolling breaks and dreamy flutters for a killer woozy infectious groove. "Simon Says" works on a similar swooning tip but this time with a jazzier, mildly Roy Ayers style sound. Subtle, understated and solid; a great label debut.

Review: Weeks have passed since Furney last dealt contrabands from the Soul Deep trunk, but here he is again. As always, he's peddling the preemo gear; "My Heart" is a deep bassline roller with full attention paid to the finely tuned drums and bulbous sub. If you're looking for Furney's dreamier, majestic tones then jump straight on "Awaitation" and allow yourself to be swept away by the gradually build but deftly executed strings and flutes. Furney can do no wrong right about now.

Review: Swedish beatmaker Blastikz and his Rotterdam counterpart Daybreaks have come together to create this beauty of a bumper EP. As per the Soul Deep manifesto, smooth rolling beats are the order of the day and these two never disappoint when it comes to soulful melodies. Taking it in turns to bring the sounds of summer to your speakers, each track is a tightly produced sliver of sunlight. Don't let the airy musicality fool you though, there are some seriously deep basslines at play in tracks like "Dust" and "End Of Time", giving these guys the edge over their soulful drum and bass counterparts. Ones to watch.

Review: Furney's not fluffing around here gang. Prolific since he emerged in the late 2000s, things seem to have ramped up to new speeds with his output this year. And all of it is absolute gold. Just take "Intruders"; a classic jungle track with some pretty rasping stabs, it suddenly turns into a soul hurricane midway with playful subversion. "1990" takes us back in time with a superbly crafted sample that only truly unfolds on the majestic breakdown, "Letramento Skies" is all about the happy slappy double bass twangs and dope spoken word sample while "Out Of Luck" closes on a bare disco tip. Review: We're this early into 2017 and Furney is already breaking out the top gear. We had no doubts as to his productivity or, for that matter, then man's abilities to churn out high quality d&b, but we are most pleasantly surprised by this new load of killers for Soul Deep Exclusives. The opening "I Don't Really Know If I Know You" is a rugged, electrifying stepper for some proper build-up, while "Seaside Suicide" goes much deeper into the jazzier strains of modern jungle. "Storm Damage" takes a step back into the early 90s thanks to a quick-firing artillery of vintage amens, and "Troubled Times Ahead Of Me" enters the liquid domain via some sublime drum meandering and evocative background synth work.

Review: Recovered from deep trip through his "World Of Confusion", the ever-perennial Furney returns to Soul Deep with four more crisp, rolling gems. "The Fog" fumes with deep jazz vapours while the darker, more driving "Larougi2017" finally unleashes a vintage dub that devout Furney followers have longed for since at least 2011. Review: Blazin' by name, blazing by nature: the unstoppable US junglist Dave Owen makes his debut on Soul Deep with a superlative four-tracker that triumphs in showcasing both his on-point range and Soul Deep's ever-reliable status as premier LA groove dealer. "Blazin' Arrows" is all about the rolling breaks, pure Randall material. "Makin' Plans" fuses up slick emotional rap with jazzy muted horns and another set of precision rolling drums while "Soul Purpose" instantly flares up with a jaunty ragtime jazz piano riff. Review: Furney and Soul Deep aren't messing around this year with their monthly dispatches. Doubled in size from all the previous singles this year, the "Roll Call" EP is the biggest package of 2016 so far. It's big in term of vibe scope, too... "Roll Call" utilises a well known horn sample for a fly-by-night skanker, "Waiting For Deebo" is classical liquid with subtly strings and woozy treatments on the vocal elements while "It's All In Your Mind" plays the wizard of the set thanks to its feet-sweeping funk and out-of-this-world synth bass. Finally "I Sun Seller" winds things down on a deep, cosmic introspective tip. Far out.

Review: Jazzstick-snapping funk: Paul SG returns to LA's Soul Deep for the second time this year with three more timeless lessons in rolling soul. "Xamplo" is charged by deft, brushed drums and a filtered sample that tickles and tickles as it plays the long reveal. "Nothing Leads Nowhere" is straight out of the Creative Source playbook; delicate pianos, layers of sparkling instrumentation and a ghostly vocal texture playing the consummate cherry on the top. Finally we hit "Unusually Agitated". An ironic title for a track so jazzy and funk-riddled, watch out for the sudden switches in drum momentum.

Review: MSDoS returns to Soul Deep for some fresh material to see in Great British Summertime 2015. Crisp and soulful, each tune is an instant classic and the type of quality we've all come to expect from this prolific producer. Especially stunning is "Straits", which takes vintage breaks and repurposes them into a deeper than deep roller that manages to be weighty and beautiful in equal measures. Review: Calling a beautiful soulful happy-slapper like this "Some Roller" is like calling a Ferrari 'some car'. As funky as it as understatedly titled; the sample is perfectly positioned, the breaks come in from nowhere and the balance between the ingredients is tighter than a president's purse strings. "Hard Times" squares our focus on a honeyed vocal tone while an array of basses purr and squelch beneath. "Hurtful" tickles with some fantastic rhythm elements that squeak and warble with mischievous funk while "Mi5" is all about the flabby tubular bassline that oozes throughout the rolls. Review: Swiss duo KonfrontAudio return to Soul Deep with four beautiful exercises in liquid soul; "Tell Me" tips its snapback at Robert Planet by way of lilting harps and organs that develop more presence as the track progresses. "In The World" places much more emphasis on the vocals as LaMeduza takes centre stage over an understated piano-tickled roll. "If I Need You" slaps us round the face and wakes us from our LaMeduza-induced reverie with some rugged amen, sweeping string and dusty sample action. Last but not least we hit "Einklang". Literally translating to harmony, it lives up to its name thanks to some weighty piano sounds and chord changes so strong they could sweep a hippo of their feet. Mercifully no hippos were harmed in the production of this EP.

Review: Serbian D&B upstart Euphorics delivers his debut album on the currently unstoppable Soul Deep. The result? 10 tracks of well-weighted, soulfully minded rollers splashed with large amounts of funk, jazz and classic D&B. Highlights include the Cyantific-style vocal workout "Brighter", the car chase flurries and low-end exhaust fumes of "Hit N Run", the early Die-style chaotic jazz dynamics of "Maracana" and the sombre, sci-fi soundscapes of the album closer "Rivers". A really impressive, accomplished debut that works well on the headphones just as well as it does on the dancefloor.

Review: With an EP released every month since May, unGoogleable Greek producer MSDOS is firing on all soulful cylinders right now. Following a string of releases on Liquid Drops he returns to Soul Deep with four more heart/floor/soul-warmers: "Cosmic Flow" is the epitome of subtle jazzy rollers, all filtered and fluctuating. "Joint" is a big car-chase piece with classic ravey synth stabs used to dramatic effect. "Leicester" rolls with some excitingly unusual drums, piano shimmers and sporadic, Marky-style bass tones. "Fingertip" brings us to a jazzy climax with Latin touches on the sample and granular drum work created from the beaches of Rio itself.

Review: Viennese whirling dervish SG returns to Soul Deep with three immaculate constructions. "In My Life" has a really distinct early 2000s feel thanks to rolling momentum-driving drums and widescreen early-Hospital style vocal texture that rides throughout. You could picture this on High Contrast's seminal fabriclive mix. "Wonder Why" is a little more contemporary thanks to its sharper punctuation as quirky piano rolls create the main hook over the pin-point two-step while horns waft woozily into oblivion. Finally we hit his remix of fellow Soul Deep fam Greekboy: stripping out the jungle and building up the feels, it's a lesson in total remix subversion. Life-affirming.

Review: Three Soul Deep releases deep into 2016 and we're not even out of February, Furney and Soul Deep are dominating right now and the safety word is 'subs'. Not that you'd want any form of submission; you could be pummelled by the rubber ball basses of "Slow Down" for days on end and still not want to come up for air. "Awfully Deep" more of a gentle whip-slap, licking us gently but persistently with its persuasive jazz sample, yearning vocal moan and strange, tripped out FX that purr and stretch over the mix. Let's hope they keep this prolific assault up throughout the year.

Review: Soul Deep welcome another brand new face, up-and-coming Welshman M Church who lays down two hurricane liquid grooves: "You Belong To Me" flexes on a dreamy guitar/piano sample and simple-but-effective vocal hook. Review: Some say the truth sounds like pain. Others say the truth sounds like angels playing Hendrix covers on glistening harps. InnaSelf reckons it sounds like lush rolling liquid... And we're not going to argue with him. Purebred silver-sided soul, each cut continues the Midlands musician's rich vein of form: "The Sound Of Truth" utilised a classic vocal over a stripped back Calibre-style arrangement, "Dream Rhythm" goes for more a cloud-hopping vibe with a springy tropical synth hook while "Intuition" uses one of rave's most iconic vocal shots over a breezy piano roll to mesmerising effect. Finally we hit "The Citadel". Juicy subs and simple-but-crafty hook, it's one of those tracks the creeps up behind you, licks your ears and runs away tittering. Truthfully impressive.

Review: Not much is known about newcomer John Daze but what he lacks in marketing presence, he more than makes up for in severe rolling swagger. Joining Soul Deep Exclusives for a shot at one of the year's most surprising EPs, Higher Love is an exploration of this producer's sound which ends on the totally sublime harmonies of "Your Love". It's a track which deserves to be a set closer that sends shivers up spines and jogs memories for decades to come.

Review: Recovered from his titanic co-lab with label boss Scott Allen earlier this year, Cornish crusader DC lays down two more of his signature liquid rollers. "Organic" lives up to its name thanks to its simple-but-hypnotisingly-effective sample that waves back and forth over naturally developing drums. "Summer Groove" also lives up to its name thanks to its breezy pads and drifting horns. November isn't the most obvious time to release a track with such a name but vibes like these know no season and it guarantees a long lease of life as we stash it for 2016's summer weapon.

Review: Russian liquid drizzle-kid Invold makes his debut on Soul Deep with four pristine rollers. "Starfall" ignites the groove rocket, whisking us around the prettier pastures of the cosmos with well-spaced beats and mild traces of euphoria. "Sweet" embodies its name; all breathy vocal whispers and drifting, lullaby chords while "Desperate Feelings" shows Invold's more subdued, side with minor chords and shimmering guitar twangs. Finally "Velvet Story" brings us back to reality with a snake-like Chords-style bassline and a precision sense of momentum.

Review: It's been a while since midlands-based Payback last graced the Soul Deep network but the wait has been worth it. Four cuts, each one as silky as the last: "Transmission" is a cosmic trip around the brightest of stars, rolling with subtlety and a quiet confidence, "Love Won't Wait" takes the dream factor up a notch or two with a feel-factor that's not dissimilar to Logistics' early output, "Connect" is much leaner with full focus on the drums and trembling glock arpeggio and yearning vocal that's nestled deep in the groove. Finally we hit "Street Music". A touch darker, there's more urgency in the drums and the sub plays much more of a lead role as Payback develops a much funkier groove for the finale. Audio justice.

Review: Longstanding liquid representer Furney gets his dark on for two driving grooves on SDE. "Really Alive" is riddled with a strong sense of urgency thanks to its nagging stabs and toxic sub bass. "Night Boat To Formantera" continues the eerie theme with tightly plucked strings that cascade and spiral with cinematic drama as the groove develops. As you'd expect from a man of Furney's calibre, both are polished with pristine production touches.

Review: Daze continues to dig deep into his burgeoning career with another slick and soulful session on SDE. "Old & Horney" eschews the current standard of four-minute bashers with a lengthy eight minute adventure that rolls with the right amount of hypnotic magic. "The Hate", meanwhile, turns to Gil Scott Heron for its vocal texture. The result? Instant warmth and substance. Soul Deep was founded for burners like these.

Review: Two Soul Deep mainstays collide for four generous slabs of timeless junglism and drumfunk. "Mystical Melodies" is all about the bold splashing cymbals and edited breaks, "Sweet Emotions" is a magic carpet roller with subtly psychedelic synths wrapped around more pimp-tight breakbeats. "Lonely Souls" drops the amens for a sharper, steppier break that leaves space for rich planet-hopping arpeggios while "Encounter" leaves us with a dark adieu as barrel chested subs swagger beneath endlessly mutating lead lines. Powerful.
