Review: After his ridiculously massive "Bearhug", Welsh bass wizard Bmotion continues his Viper assault offensive with two more superlative shredders. "Arabia" has a really bouncy, squelchy groove before dropping into an evocative Moroccan string and vocal hook that builds into another one of his trademark drops. "Ignition" is much more base in its intentions as a spiked-out bassline chews itself inside out with tech-like menace before leaning forward and trying to munch you own face off. Comparisons to Culture Shock's "Troglodyte" aren't to be thrown around lightly but in this case it's legit.

Review: Wales national BMotion has upped his game with "Bear Hug". Tearing things up from the off, it's a brutal assault from all directions, from the onwards push of the relentless bassline to the retro synths coming in equal measures melodic and murderous. And if that wasn't enough, "Vice City" doesn't disappoint those with visions of '80s hat-tips, thanks to the neon bass and snug level of warmth in the mix. Consider the gap in the market for danceable tracks officially filled.

Review: Following in the footsteps of fellow countrymen Camo & Krooked, Dossa & Locuzzed run a fine line in precision balanced D&B where funk and pop glitz are kept in-check with expert production and weight. With their guitars, velvet synths and big juicy hooks both "Only Way" and "Electric Boogie" give sexy winks at C&K's Zeitgeist material while establishing the duo's own signature: the former could easily be a radio hit while the latter smacks hard with a gurgling bass/kick groove. Before massaging your soul with the warmest, wettest synth breakdown Viper have championed so far this year. Big.

Review: Two of several premium Belgian exports in recent times, Dossa & Locuzzed return to Viper with another fresh take on the D&B sound. Combining a jump-up energy and pace with silkier synth-funk styles, they're developing a real signature to their work. "Dance" wriggles with a rainbow of disco glitches and spring bassline with a style that nods sweetly at fellow countrymen Camo & Krooked but in their own sprightly way. The brilliantly-titled "Shag" flips the trip with a silky synth intro and a Hazard-level bass riff that nags hard. Brilliant.

Review: Long revered as one of the oddballs of the scene, Inside:Info has repeatedly relished the opportunity to get truly down and dirty with his spliced and diced creations. "Mushroom" though, is something else. Ripped to pieces and stitched back together by the barest vibrophone sample and a chilling sustained synth, it's heavy, then softly-softly and completely mental in equal measure. "The Plains" offers a refreshing look at Paul's incomparable ear for a delicate hook. Softer and sweeter but no less instantly arresting, the sharpness and clarity of his production shines through on the huge drums and wavering bassline. It's so different, which is exactly why you need it.

Review: Ninja, turntablist, genre-melter: Jaguar Skills has been lurking around the D&B world for the last few years, having previously achieved vibey stripes with Chords on Ram. Now rolling deep with the mighty Viper fam, he delivers his debut solo EP. And they're all certified bangers; "Ready To Rock" is a roaring riot of a track with an Andy C style riff, "Reload That" compounds grime with a chiselled D&B step rhythm with cement-shattering gravity while "The Riot Squad" puts one foot in the neuro world and one in the jump-up. You don't need to us to explain how this bangs. The instrumentals do, too.
