Review: Fabian Dikof returns to the welcoming arms of Andre Lodemann and Daniel Best's Best Works label following a near three-year hiatus. Predictably, he steps right back into the atmospheric deep house groove on title track "Who", serving up an intoxicating late night blend of undulating music box melodies, held note chords, jazz-flecked percussion and Innervisions style attitude. The latter influence is even more prevalent on the jaunty and slowly building "Golden Thread", which achieves a perfect balance between creepiness and gentle positivity. As for "Camouflage", featuring the mesmerizing vocals of Ann Weller, it's almost spine tingling in its pursuit of heady late night thrills. For those looking for a more hypnotic, locked-in interpretation, Dubspeeka's trippy remix should be essential listening.
