Review: Los Angeles techno legend John Tejada released the tech house anthem "Sweat" (On The Walls) back in 2004 on Poker Flat and its success has been enduring - it is one of those tracks you still hear getting played to this day and it always gets a great reaction from the crowd. To prove this track is as relevant as ever and hasn't dated, we've got powerhouse Defected giving it a much welcomed reissue and a bunch of worthy remixes that give the track a modern revision. Dutchman Franky Rizardo gives it a respectful remix that stays true to the original but gives it a different dynamic for today's crowds while Laolu's version was quite interesting: here it takes Qzen's vocal from the original over a deep progressive house groove. It also comes with the 'much slept on' remix by the Mobilee affiliated Sebo K which came with the original 13 years ago.

Review: The third volume in this series is a reminder of how broad the tech-house sound can be. At one end, there's Martin Landsky's stripped back and tripped out take on John Tejada's biggest tune, "Sweat On The Walls", while at the other end, there's the glorious soulful, acid-sprayed re-rub of Vincenzo's "The Clearing" by Ian Pooley. Landsky keeps the mood menacing with "2000 Miles", as does MANIK with the prowling bassline of "Pure Liquid". Thankfully, there are enough musical moments, from Phonique, David Durango and Mathias Mayeer- whose "Insomnia" climaxes to wave upon wave of deep chords - to provide the necessary counterbalance.

Review: This is not the first compilation to drop whose sole aim is to raise funds for NHS Chartities Together - R&S Records and Bass Agenda both delivered similarly epic sets - but "Care4Life" may well be the strongest and most diverse. As you'd expect, each one of the 45 tracks is previously unreleased, and the cast list reads like a who's who of dance music culture. Notable highlights include an ultra-deep, saucer-eyed number from Daniel Avery, an unheard rework of the Chemical Brothers' "Catch Me I'm Falling", a superb revision of Harvey's Locussolus project by Kiwi, Matthew Herbert in jazzy broken beat mode, a rare solo outing from Optimo's JD Twitch, a rip-roaring rave workout from Jas Shaw, and thumping peak-time bangers from Dusky, Eats Everything and Patrick Topping.
