Review: Little-known Spanish producer A2C specializes in the kind of tough, chunky late night deep house that should appeal to a wide range of DJs. Take "Wasabi", for example. With its heavily compressed kicks, bold electro-tinged bassline, garage-influenced vocal stabs, woozy pads and clandestine effects, it sounds like a rougher, more urban take on the Hypercolour sound. "Space" inhabits similar territory, with classic US garage drums, swirling melodies and touchy-feely female vocal samples being joined by a gargantuan UKG bassline and rumbling late night sounds. It's bold, brassy, and shamelessly floor-friendly - just the thing to get dancefloors moving this winter.
