Review: Love it or loath it, there is no doubt that Nic Fanciulli's label has done a lot to push underground techno to a mainstream audience - and "People Say" is exactly the kind of electronic music that the UK DJ spins. Dark and tracky but not too abrasive, its pitch-bent vocal and later on, a call and response narrative, will appeal to those who may have been put off by the track's heavy subs. Fanciulli's own version is more immediate, with a jacking backing and chunky beats underscoring what has turned into a sensuous vocal interplay. It's not hard to imagine it going down a storm in big rooms around the world.
