Review: Shogun weren't messing around when they signed Prolix. One of the elite few who can really inject dangerous levels of funk into their tech and neuro textures, every track he makes - no matter how dark - is a real stand out. Naturally there are no exceptions here for his biggest Shogun release to date: "Danger" lives up to its name with stinking basses and funk-chiselled triplets, "We Do Our Thing" hits with more conventional beats and a riff that's made of 100% paranoia while "Threshold" rolls with a wry nod to the early 2000s with the able guidance of Pendulum's MC Verse. As for "Planet Smasher", it totally deserves its title and features Drumsound & Bassline Smith. Need we say any more?
