123 BPM Review: Cocoon has put Rico Puestel in charge of its latest release. With over 100 tracks to his credit, it looks like a very shrewd piece of A&Ring on the part of Sven Vath's label. The title track is a driving filtered house affair, with a heavy bass navigating its way through the soupy textures. "Enokid" is radically different - whether or not the title is a reference to the great ambient producer is unclear - but it's a highly effective minimal workout. Revolving around a repetitive, pinprick tone, it rides a stripped back, woozy rhythm, resulting in a mesmerising - and highly distinctive - techno track.
