Review: A cursory glance at the bulging Saint Etienne back catalogue confirms the band's happy knack of picking the right remixers. Over the years, their work has variously been interpreted by such masters of the art as Andrew Weatherall, David Holmes, Masters at Work, Eric Kupper and The 2 Bears. Stepping up to the plate this time round are UK electrofunk veteran Greg Wilson and regular studio partner Derek Kaye. Their version of "Dive" is an undeniably summery and life-affirming affair, with clipped, Chic style guitars, crunchy Clavinets and ear-pleasing organ stabs wrapping themselves around a breezy disco groove. Once the punchy horns and Sarah Cracknell's distinctive vocals make their presence felt midway through, you'll want to be dancing somewhere hot under a blanket of shimmering stars.
