Review: A veteran of the electronic music scene nigh on 20 years, Frenchman Sebastien Leger returns to Lee Burridge's esteemed All Day I Dream imprint for his third release, with four servings of lush and ethereal deep house on the 'Secrets' EP. From the melodic/hypnotic bliss of "Ashes In The Wind" which is sure to cause some drama on the dancefloor, to an evocative trip deep into the exotic as heard on the vocal driven "Menabelle" or lose yourself in the utterly life affirming "Secret". This is the exact kind of mesmerising groove that you could imagine label boss Burridge playing, at a downtown rooftop party on a sunny Sunday afternoon - pure bliss!

Review: Legendary techno producer Adam 'X' Mitchell recently took credit for the Secret Initiative. An anonymous project, it was launched eight years ago, around the same time it was disclosed that he was behind Traversable Wormhole - another secretive alias but one that essentially relaunched his career. Inspired by his formative period back home in New York City in the early '90s, he began revisiting classic techno sub-genres and paid homage to his roots while reinterpreting these styles for modern dance floors. Having reached the conclusion of the 10 volume series that was veiled in secrecy (and caused a lot of hype in the underground), along comes a special digital anthology with 20 tracks from the project. Running the gamut from slow motion acid, to tunneling hypnotic techno, neo-industrial and classic warehouse bangers - the now Berlin based producer proves that decades on he is still one of the most innovative producers in electronic music.
