Review: Noodles Recordings presents a remaster of Si Begg's 1996 EP for Position Chrome - a subsidiary of Mille Plateaux and Force Inc - that comes bang up with a bonus track that appeared on MP's Electric Ladyland Volume 6. With a grainy vibe that's pure '90s UK nostalgia, it's tracks like "Hair Roller" that reign in the funk. With hella loops effected by all manner of phasers, detunes, redux and distortion, this couldn't be more true for "Logan's Run 3000" alongside the subtle bleep references in "Boog Me Out". And for your double dose of hardcore breaks it's all about "Nothing Is A True Zen Say" and its cousin "Nothing Is What I Want". Long live Simon Begg.
