Review: As far as we can make out, 'Space Operator' - first released on Good Vibes in 1982 - was the only ever release by Italo-disco duo 4 M International. Now it returns, nearly 40 years on, with three mixes to choose from. If it's authentically early 80s, purist Italo vibes you're after then you go for the Original, but if the cheesy spoken vocal is too much then head for the Instrumental. For less specialist floors, though, your best bet might be Donato Dozzy's Cadillac Rhythms Reshape, wherein the track gets reworked into a mid-paced throbber that could work on disco, deep house and "melodic" floors alike.

Review: Parisian veteran Jef K has been immersed in deep, sensual house music since the 90s, and still he continues to turn out the gold. On this occasion he's drafted in regular collaborators Rhythm & Soul for two tracks that lay the funk samples down heavy and keep the grooves classy, then On A Mission offers some alternative names to get a look in. Mr Ks has a more jazzed out roll at work on "High Street", and Kub brings a notably mellow mood to "The Basement" to smoothly round off the EP.

Review: Anthoney J Hart aka Imaginary Forces who has appeared on Entr'acte, Bedouin and of course his own Sleep Codes label now appears on Type with his new project Basic Rhythm. Eight excursions in street level, post grime/dubstep bass mutations. We particularly enjoyed the smoked out beats of the title track, the forceful and jagged antics of "Your Love" (featuring some particularly thrilling low end pulsation) and the deconstructed jazzy drum and bass of "Feel Me". Roll one up and put this on, you'll be right!
