Review: James "VRRS" Vorres seems to have got his mojo back. He returned to action in the autumn following an 18-month absence, and ever since he's been drip-feeding us tasty morsels. His latest missive is another single-track salvo following the release of "IVEGOTDA_LUV_WAV" earlier in the month. "BUNDAT ASAP" is bouncy, bumpin' and forthright, with the Black Venison label founder peppering chunky drums and ear-catching bass with a heady mixture or razor-sharp acid riffs, warehouse-ready turn-of-the-90s stabs and heavily mangled vocal samples. It's a curious combination of elements, but one that sounds suitably heavy over meaty club soundsystems. We expect to hear it a fair bit when we're out and about over the next few months.
