Review: It sounds like Betamines has thrown everything bar the kitchen sink into this release, but the end results are surprisingly coherent. Take the title track: it features a time-stretched double bass and filtered breakdowns, but the police sirens lend it a sense of fun. "How Never" is more functional, with Betamines focusing on the rolling groove and the kind of seductive female vocal that would even arouse those dead from the waist down. Keno has also chosen its remixers wisely: the Zoo Brazil version of "How Never" is all about its insistent disco filter and screeching vocal, while Gordian Gleiss' take goes deeper and darker, with a clanging metallic rhythm and an insistent acid build.
