Review: Much needed reissue of Malaria!'s 2001 Versus LP, their final piece but one which detached their previous minimal/synthwave tendencies onto a firmer techno/electro plateau. The LP has never seen a vinyl release and the CD version is rather hard to come by these days so it's very much welcome - consisting mostly of remixes from various European artists, it really does feel like an all-out club record and pieces like Thomas Fehlmann's remix of "Your Turn To Run", Wassermann's take of "Kaltes Klares Wasser", and even Alter Ego's re-touch of "Geh Duschen" have become classic industrial dance pieces, bridging together the vocal ferocity of post-punk with Detroit's techno beat power. DJ Koze and The Tease even put in an appearance for another remix of "Kaltes Klares Wasser" - a real monster on the floor and one of many gems to this timeless collection of techno memorabilia - Essential!
