Review: Following his recent excursions on the likes of Pick The Lock and Kartoons, OnlyDrums bossman 10AD goes in deep with his debut LP. Pure unadulterated dancefloor power, High Roller lives up to its name in every direction; cuts like the title track bring a sense of funk and class thanks to big musical sweeps while cuts like 'Missing' bring the level up with major league cameos from the likes of Traumatik. Other collabo appearances include Froidy on the stalking dark funk creeper 'Heavy Init' and Decrypt on the scatty, springy 2012-flavoured banger 'Things They Do'. 'Spaceboy' brings the final note on a slower, old school breaks flex. Ready for take off?

Review: We now get to jump into a real treat from the Subway Soundz squad, welcoming Alphaze inside for five pieces of new school jump up heat. We begin with 'Effective' alongside Magenta, a crunchy roller, focussing on simple yet catchy basslines and nostalgic vocal cuts, before 'Next One' ups the bass with more subby squelches. From here, D-Flex arrives with a vibrant display on 'Trouble', a monstrous original that is likely to tear the dance to shreds, with Froidy's additional production punches of 'Tipped Off' giving us a secondary gut puncher. Finally, the pressure reaches the maximum bubbling point as the grizzly LFO sweeps of 'Talk Bout' gives us one final dosage of bassy goodness, putting the final touches on this wicked selection.

Review: Fresh from appearances on the likes of Grid, Brawlin', Invicta, Four Corners and Pick The Lot D-Flex arrives on Eternal with four feisty cuts. 'Wah Gawrn' takes the lead with a venom MC line before dropping into a rasping harmonic you'll be humming all the way around Asdas, 'Mic Check' follows with a little more bounce and off-beat wriggle before 'Too Bad' brings the heat with an absolutely storming bassline that rises and twists skyward with hype and heaviness. Last but not least 'Oh No I Won't' closes with some curmudgeonly gruff bassline grizzles. Killer EP.

Review: A lovely little one-fingered salute to anyone who reckons politics should be kept out of music, Political Drumz returns for another heavyweight slam dunk session, this time from D-Flex. Big ballsy jump-up flavours are the order of the day as 'Transmission' lights the fire with a Gino-style atonal assault before 'Rocket Launcher' brings up the rear with a darker, thicker, swampier type of groove. Venomous scenes; the perfect soundtrack to smash down Downing Street parties any time during the lockdowns.

Review: Flex those Ds to get your Ps: Nicholas 'The' Lock fires up his Pick The Lock label once again, this time inviting D Flex round for some mischief. First up in this festival of grotty basslines and murky merrymaking comes 'Rasta Lion' with Magenta. Full strength and both smellier and hookier than a fisherman's pocket, it sets the tone and energy for the whole EP. Elsewhere things get steamy on 'Turn Me On', things get so heavy, gritty and grotty on '911' we have to call the emergency services while 'Pull It' slaps us silly with a wide range of croaky flavours with absolutely no apology. Just the way we like it!

Review: Sweet as a nut mate! Following his hugely prolific 2021, D-Flex cracks open a fine bottle of 2022 with this massive four track debut on Bulletproof. 'Sweet Love' says it all; late 2000s era D*Minds style bass barks, a sleazy groove and brick-like beats. It's backed up all the way with more greasy weirdness; 'Live & Direct' plays with those higher range harmonics as he links up with Froidy, 'Remedy' balances a big euphoric intro with a absolutely potty bass riff while 'Anything But You' closes the EP with a series of very impressive wobbles and warps. Feel the love!

Review: Reading based artist and co-owner of the OnlyDrums label, D-Flex lays the smack down on Twisted Individual's Grid with this walloping six-tracker. Characterised by big bulbous bassline jams, the title track 'Sticky' really captures the vibe of the EP as the slug-like low end rattles back and forth. Other highlights include the heavyweight collaboration with Jenks, the junglised splashes and sheet metal bassline bashes of 'Middle Finger' (with Master Error) and the ultra-funky finale track 'The Launch'.

Review: Last spotted on Eternal Muzic waving round his 'Big Gun' in an uncompromised and somewhat rambunctious manner, Froidy now returns with more hysterical behaviour. As always with this young talent, the focus is on the energy and that unapologetic tear-up sound. Grotty, vicious and so much fun to mix; highlights include the utterly outrageous croaks and grizzles of 'In Your Head' and the superb scattiness of the lazer-blasting bust-ups like 'Intuition' (with fellow young talent Doinkgod) and the wild levels of unpredictable venom on 'Restless' (with D-Flex) Go crazy.

Review: Mr G's latest high quality outing was made in cahoots with fellow British techno veteran Duncan Forbes, a friend and former Spooky member (alongside Sasha's go-to engineer Charlie May). Forbes offers up two fresh reworks of Mr G Cuts: a rolling, drum-laden deep house take on "Hip-Shaker" rich in hand percussion, hazy female vocal samples and spacey electronic motifs, and a fuzzy, mid-tempo revision of "Flex D's" that peppers a druggy groove with spacey electro synths and eyebrow-raising French spoken word snippets. Best of all, though, is the duo's collaborative studio jam "D&G Throwdown", a deep but percussively pulverizing techno stomper that benefits greatly from hazy riffs, echoing percussion hits and mind-altering sub-bass thrusts.
