Review: It's been 16 months since the release of the second installment of John 'Zoo Brazil' Anderson's Songs For Clubs series. This third volume is, then, long overdue. As with its' predecessors, Songs For Clubs 3 lives up to its name, with Anderson picking out (and mixing, on the included bonus DJ mix) an atmospheric blend of tracks from across the deep house, tech-house and minimal-influenced techno spectrum. The tracklist is certainly strong, with contributions from Tiefschwarz, Michael Mayer, The Revenge (the brilliant "Incredible Shellsuit"), Romanthony and Matthew Styles, whose thrilling "Dominion" is probably the collection's standout moment. That said, Copyright's big room deep house banger "Submarine" certainly pushes it close.

First of all, we dip into an exciting 2018 rework of the original creation, beefing up the drums, bass notation and atmospheric pressure to compliment the assertive vocal even more than before. We are also gifted an official remix from Shontay, who takes a look at reworking the track into a moogy half time format, perfect for tripping out the dance. This one also comes complete with the original instrumental and vocal mixes.

Review: We love it when labels and artists venture back into their vaults and unearth some golden gems to be put in the awaiting mits of new producers for some modern day remixes, and here we have the first of a couple of re-releases from 90's hard trance pioneer Yakooza. There has never been a time or place when 'Sweet Dreams' hasn't rocked a dancefloor, whatever musical style you play. This latest lot feature the standout tones of Sofia, and come with (amongst others) a fresh cut from DJ Wag, which is an absolutely slammer. Heavy basslines, and a pumping electro vibe with the vocal kept enticingly low in tone. There are 11 new mixes in total, but for it is all about DJ Wag!

Review: Toolroom Live 01 is a behemoth. At 61 tracks large, inclusive of three continues DJ mixes, this new concept by Toolroom, as they say, is to highlight key artists, present new tracks, and give their fans a taste of the live experience. On here there's music from Harvey Mckay, Gary Beck and Maison Sky, to Bat For Lashes, Hot Since 82 and label owner Mark Knight, and if you're looking to grasp the Toolroom Live concept (and other oddities you might not expect), while getting some bang from your buck, this release is a well informed start.
