So Much Love
So Much Love (original mix) - (6:42) 120 BPM Hot
So Much Love (radio edit) - (3:56) 120 BPM
Review: Supplied in simple Original and Radio Edit flavours, here we have a no-nonsense, feel-good house ditty that's so eager to get to Ibiza that it's already packed its bags and bought industrial quantities of sunscreen. Taking most of the limelight are filtered strings and a matching filtered vocal - a one-line "I've got so much love to give" affair that's poppy, soulful and eminently suitable for daytime radio play. But rest assured, this is no mere lightweight pop froth, because there's also a proper phat-assed bassline that ensures maximum dancefloor appeal. As with many such instantly appealing cuts longevity may be an issue, but for summer 2019 at least, 'So Much Love' will surely be HUGE.

Review: Dryman returns to the inimitable Meanbucket label with a rip-roaring remix EP. "Human Distribution" and "So Much Love" receive a proper treatment from a diverse bunch of producers, most notably by Bad Mojo with his techy, filthy house stomper on the former, and by DJ Tuco's neo-jungle movements on the latter. It's something which everyone can dig their fangs into and get seriously twisted over on the dancefloor. Dryman's on a cool run as of late, don't miss it!

Review: 48 tracks? Asbo you are truly spoiling us. The quality is as high as the quantity too; a selection of Asbo classics and brand new flavours we're taken from smooth silky rolling soul such as Westy's "Making Moves" and jazzy V-style thunder like Savannah's "Glide Away" to hurricane amen depth (Dawn Raid, Gold Dubs & Jinx - "Old Fashioned") and classic mid 90s style jump-up ruffage (Cabin Fever's remix of "Raw Dogs") via warm-as-toast dub soul a la Vinyl Junkie & Sanxion's "Talk Too Much" and Daffy's beautiful "Love Dub". And that's only an eighth of killer cuts on here. Easily one of the best tenners a junglist can invest this month.

Review: For this latest Mr Jones EP by Nina Kraviz, she withdraws any sentiments of ghetto house heard on last year's debut album and turns in something house and techno inspired for Rekids. Her sultry, accented vocals still play a large role in her music however, best heard in the dark house of "Desire", the first track of this double EP. "Mr Jones" begins much the same was as "Desire", but when the beat does drop, it's not as tough, but twice as haunting - complementing the EPs cover art. Kraviz teams up with Luke Hess for the Detroit techno drum track that is "Remember", while "Black White" offers the some respite from the previous productions gloominess with something more festive and tropical. From here Kraviz provides some classic, minimal, and percussive deep house in "So Wrong", which leads perfectly into the club drumming of "Sheer". A superb follow up by Kraviz.

Review: Dikso unveil their fifth EP of pan European disco meets house moments which commences in fine form with the ubiquitous Duff Disco. The London based producer is cranking up the heat and delivers a finely poised deep house bump on "I Won't Forget" with the glowing chords and delicate keys riding the muscular house groove with real aplomb. The surfeit of angelic cooing that gently ripples in the nether regions has the requisite emotive effect and the belated arrival of some twisting acid just demonstrates his variety. Alongside this, "The Music We Play" from We Play - the latest alias of two producers with far too many to list - gets a French House revision from Leeds based Mam which dovetails nicely with the loose boogie joint that is "So Much Fun" from German producer Larse. Dikso's own Andi De Luxe makes his belated label appearance to round off proceedings with the low slung beatdown sounds of "Boobsie Collins".

Review: An enormous compilation here, which aims to bring together what's big in dubstep right now in an epic 40-track album which leans towards the heavier side of the spectrum. A modern musical phenomenon, dubstep has taken over the contemporary scene with violent force and South London Recordings give us their spin on it, bringing together tracks from some lesser-known talent who have a heavy, tech-y or synth-driven approach. The compilation kicks off with the enticing "Piano Roll" from Bipper, which juxtaposes piano melodies with tearing dubstep; then there is the guttural swagger of "Bad Thinks" by DJ Hydrator and the excellent Mefjus remix of "Granular Dopeness", plus numerous other noteworthy tracks. Well worth checking out.
