Review: As temperatures in the UK begin to plummet quicker than the leaves falling off the trees, W&O Street Tracks serves up something to warm even the chilliest of dancefloors. Their Autumn Sampler is an all-star affair, featuring four fresh cuts from friends and family. Felippe Gordon impresses with the cut-up, broken house strut of "Rola Frita" - all Syclops style wonky bass and sharply edited vocal samples - before Deep Space Orchestra deliver the thrusting, intergalactic house hustle of "Quarterly Report". Review: Another set of Waze & Odyssey's always reliable Street Tracks served up again on their Autumn Sampler. On offer here is Colombian producer Felipe Gordon's deep and bouncy "Rola Frita", Liverpool's Deep Space Orchestra with the hi-tech soul of "Quarterly Report" which follows in the tradition of local legends Stephen Brown or Vince Watson then My Cat Snoop: otherwise known as Brighton's Gregg Ashley, who throws down the tough and gutsy techno stomp of "Ghetto Child" that sounds like a Hot Creations track on steroids. London's Mella Dee closes out the compilation with the early '90's techno zeitgeist of "Franco" complete with a gnarly Reese bassline for good measure.

Review: If you ever needed any more proof of Kerri Chandler's legendary status - this one is from 28 years ago! Short lived wonder Dee Dee Brave released her first single "My My Lover" before her self-titled album a year later. A few more singles in the same period appeared before disappearing into obscurity. The song is an absolute classic, with its mad chord progression that was borrowed by Jerome Sydenham on his remix for "Let The Sunshine Out" on Ibadan several years ago. Although the original Kaoz Again and Camacho Pumping mixes aren't to be found on this release by Champion, there's a 2018 rework by Chandler which is just as worthy of your attention, a sexy and swing-fuelled rendition by Hungarian Opolopo and a jacking drum heavy rework by Dutchman Dennis Quin - who just so happens to record for Chandler's Madhouse label.

It's a typically slick affair with highlights including the eight-minute streetwise funk of "Going To See My Baby", the orchestrated funky house loops of "You Are & We Are" and the sequined Sylvester-esque boogie of "Doin It".

Review: Arriving at a fifteenth release in little more than three years is no mean feat, and the Wolf Music crew have retained a standard of quality throughout that a few other labels could learn from. Once again switching the emphasis from artist release to a quartet of contributors, WOLF 15 opens with a killer Ron Basejam refix of recent Wolf anthem "Nowt" by James Welsh. Originally a louche slice of beatdown, "Nowt" stays at an even tempo in the hands of the Crazy P artist though there are all new levels of seductive funk added. Complementing this are three label debuts of varying style but equal quality, with Squarehead & Mella Dee (one half of Mista Men no less) opting for a brazen concoction of ruffed up garage rhythms and deep house emotions on "Get Together". Next up, breakout house duo Waze & Odyssey add Wolf to their growing CV with the effervescent cut up house rowdiness of "Feel My Voices" whilst South African producer Terrence Pearce might just steal our affections with the skippy, smudged delights of "Magic".

Review: In 2016, Eric ?Eman? Clark launched the Run Bklyn Trax Company. Expect to hear many more releases from the featured artists and Eman himself - playing through a speaker near you. Here label staple Sinsay delivers more of his respected (not to mention respectful!) edits here as part of the Screwface series. Cheryl Lynn's "You Saved My Day" is an oldie but a goodie that never gets tired - that definitely needed an edit! Admittedly, we have not heard "Time" by DJ Oats but it's about time we did get a dose of this deep, uplifting and proper NYC house jam. We're equally sure that Sinsay did a decent job of resplicing it for optimum dancefloor bliss.

And here Warrington lad Danny Worrall's disco and re-edits label Masterworks Music do just that, with an anniversary collection packing a whopping 50 back catalogue nuggets. You'll excuse us the full track-by-track, then, but suffice to say that this is the label that helped launch the careers of Dr Packer and Natasha Kitty Katt, both of whom feature here, and with names like Ziggy Phunk, Rayko, Alkalino, Chuggin' Edits and Fabiolous Barker also on bill, you should already have a pretty good idea what to expect. Review: We tend to think of All Day I Dream's particular brand of melodious and atmospheric house music as being summery and sun-kissed, but as this second "Winter Sampler" proves, many of the label's tracks that sound just as good on crystal clear winter mornings. Musically, much of the material tiptoes the fine line between tech-house, deep house and what would once have been classic progressive house, with highlights provided by Zone+ (the drowsy and glacial dancefloor hypnotism of "The Muse"), Makebo & Anomita (the simmering bliss of "Symphonic Fantasy"), Katrinka (the deep, chunky Afro-house of "Mila") and Tim Green (the bubbly, snow-flecked electronics and Innervisions-esque grooves of "Sowa").

Review: It's been 14 years since production duo Blank & Jones eschewed the dancefloor in favour of crafting sun-kissed Balearic mood pieces. In that time, they've released nine volumes in their Relax album series, each one packed with gentle downtempo workouts, lazy afternoon soundscapes and eyes-closed horizontal fare. This tenth edition is every bit as strong as its predecessors, with the German pair seemingly floating between seductive vocal numbers, flamenco guitar-laden ambient soundscapes, Zero 7 style sweetness and the kind of slowly unfurling, piano laden beauties that were once a cornerstone of the '90s chill out scene. None of it is particularly challenging, but that's entirely the point: this is music for unwinding to, not intellectualizing.

Review: What a year it's been for Perc Trax. The label's long-term championing of harder-edged techno has paid off, with the roster starting to get wider recognition. Manni Dee's contribution to this year in review compilation is the pounding techno of "Gulabi Gang", which comes close to 140bpm and features wild screeches and howls. Scalameriya, another artist championed by the label, drops three tracks that characterise this tough techno sound; "Crucible" is a straight up sheet metal banger, while on "Slobodna" he opts for a noisy industrial approach and "Hellzone Megapunk" is an ear bleed-inducing pounder. I Hate Models is the artist most likely to make the big break though, as the pile-driving acid of "Spreading Plague" and the break beat-led "Martial Order" demonstrate.

Review: Well here comes a brand new collection to get all heated about - looks like Soundbully are bringing the noise in the form of a series of remix volumes. Kicking off with Volume 1, this release is all about Jayline's eccentric style. Review: Frankfurt-based imprint Connaisseur drop the third annual Grand Cru compilation, bulging with goodies from the deeper end of tech and minimal house. Grand Cru - a term no doubt already known to the wine drinkers among you - refers to an elegant bottle or vineyard. And 2010 is proving to be a fine vintage; from the glitchy beat and ethereal vocals on Tom Demac's "Sky Swatches", to the meandering bassline of Franklin De Costa's "Futureboy" and "Jericho Horns" by label stalwart Afrilounge, which sounds like a wonderfully dirty afterhours version of Jesse Rose's "Touch My Horn". It's spread so far in fact, that French label, Booty Call, have taken it upon themselves to present this inspired compilation in an attempt to put the genre firmly on the musical map. Review: His third album in as many decades, Unique 3's influence and clout in electronic music is still wholly relevant, forward-thinking and commendably genre-smashing as it was when he unleashed "The Theme" in 1990. 17 tracks wide, the whole album weighs in at almost two hours with each track tickling a different corner of dance music's underbelly. From the stunning Orbtialesque opener "Broke My Dream" to the slippery subby D&B skips of "Daddy Ain't Around" via the lush acid house bubbles and rushy synth washes of "SIP 9", we're switched and flipped from style to style with due consistency and clarity. Other highlights include the dreamy breakbeat wobbles and ripples of "Alteratio", the chop-slapping big room house of "Memories Inside My Head" and the epic mesmerisation of the 11 minute finale "Flam Flam". Picture perfect.

Review: 10 years of US/UK grime feedback: Slit Jockey celebrate a decade of dirt with this extensive collection of classics, currents and previously unheard cuts. There might be 10 years between some of the tracks but you'd never tell; such is the solid signature and high quality control of the label. Every track is a highlight but cuts like Lenkemz savage club shredder "Can't See U", Blak Twang & Conrank's midnight murker "Go Getter" and Mr Mitch's eerie moon-bouncing trapisms are essential staples for any grime and bass connoisseur's collection.
