"Fall In Love" itself is a beauty of a track - with Eva Lazarus referencing Althia and Donna and the horns blowing pure heat there's a true dancehall vibe sizzling. Review: Jungle Cakes always tend to put out music that rests on the foundations of UK underground, the cross-over influences of soul, reggae, jungle and D&B. it's always a fresh sound and it always brings up connotations of Boomtown, free parties and sunny afternoons. This is a monster album curated by Aries and Kelvin 373, who have taken tracks both old and new to form a banging compilation. Bou nails it on 'Music Takes Me Higher', a rustic revisit to classic jungle sounds; Aries and Nicky Blackmarket roll things out in a tight way on 'Champion'; and Chimpo slams the brakes on 'DidDieDoThat'. We don't know the answer to that, but we do know this is fat. Big ups.

Review: Need For Mirrors is one of the most prolific producers in the game and now he lands on Souped Up with his debut full-length release on the label. Need For Mirrors has always had an incredibly unique sound and on Peng it collides with the tones of Souped Up, Serum's influence gets refracted through Need For Mirrors' production style and the result is fantastic. The roller mix of 'Peng A Leng' just does absolute bits, with a rambunctiously solid percussive underpinning that forces you to take notice early on, leading you into a huge bassy, brass stab line that'll blow your socks clean off. NFM has smashed this one, yet again.

Review: DC Breaks haven't released an album since 2017, which feels like a million years ago even if it isn't, so this LP is a very special occasion indeed. It's classic DC Breaks and the duo are back on top form, as DCXV rolls out with aplomb across a broad range of clubland flavours including features from Eve Lazarus, Coppa and Niara Scarlett. It's the first track that really has us taken, as euphoric piano chords build delightfully through vocal samples and serious suspense, and the release when it comes is pure, octane-driven drum & bass of the best kind. There is dirty neurofunk on 'Club Thug', slower breaks work on 'Get Down' and much more. Big ups.

Review: Benny Page is a name that's almost synonymous with the very idea of ragga jungle. Think of a scene-defining tune and chances are he'll have been involved in some way, so a collaborative album from the man with Sweetie irie is certainly worth taking notice of. Unsurprisingly it's a release full of recognizable names like Congo Natty and Eva Lazarus, the former sounding as iconic as usual over 'Power' - the first tune which sets an appropriate tone. There's several dub tunes, including 'Bless' with Eva, as well as the Mr Benn remix of 'Party With You', the full 170 original of which is a funky highlight of the album. Other highlights are 'Crocodile' and 'Should A Know' and both epitomize the Benny Page sound we know and love.
