Every Welcome To The Jungle collection is a big deal but this latest edition from Euphonique and Dazee is a whole other rain forest. 96 tracks and a mix that weighs in over two hours, this is the sound of two of the most foremost and inspiring Bristol-based DJs going IN in every single direction. Loaded with a great range of classics, exclusives and left-of-centre vibes, highlights across this massive collection include Aries and Euphonique's massive 'Amen', Dazee & Jinx's 'Shake It Up', Sweetpea and Chickaboo's 'The Jump Off' and the recent skat-dancing fire-up 'Skip De Du Dat'. And that's not scratching the surface. This is an epic collection. Essential.

DJ Hybrid's Deep In The Jungle look back over the last few years of skankings, tear-ups and vibe missions and curate them all in this awesome compilation that stretches the entire jungle drum & bass spectrum. From the classic Bristol style bubbles and bumps of cuts like Conrad Subs' 'It Goes On' to the more traditional junglistic savagery of cuts like Lupo's 'Retrograde', over 30 cuts we're treated to some beautiful 174BPM moments. Review: Sadly, the music of Winchester is nowhere near as famous as its legendary cathedral (or, in fact, the snooty public school of the same name). That's mainly because Tom Eno seems to be the city's sole producer of note. Over the years, the folksy, organic beatmaker has produced some decidedly tasty cuts, as this belated compilation of tracks and remixes proves. The mood is breezy and summery, touching on accordion-laden flamenco dub (Dusty's remix of "Estrella"), ska-inclined dancefloor jams (Eno's remix of Diego and the Disidents), ultra deep and soulful house (a terrific remix of Bristol beatmaker Benjamin One) and disco-tinged 4/4 funk (a soaring version of Upskiboo's "Running Like This").

Review: Jungle Cakes always tend to put out music that rests on the foundations of UK underground, the cross-over influences of soul, reggae, jungle and D&B. it's always a fresh sound and it always brings up connotations of Boomtown, free parties and sunny afternoons. This is a monster album curated by Aries and Kelvin 373, who have taken tracks both old and new to form a banging compilation. Bou nails it on 'Music Takes Me Higher', a rustic revisit to classic jungle sounds; Aries and Nicky Blackmarket roll things out in a tight way on 'Champion'; and Chimpo slams the brakes on 'DidDieDoThat'. We don't know the answer to that, but we do know this is fat. Big ups.

Review: It's 2017 and you can finally have your cake and eat it. It's all down to Jungle Cakes head chefs Deekline and Ed Solo who have been working hard in the bass kitchen since the foundation days. Here we find them in five Michelin star mode as they serve up a banquet of creations both from their own and their peers' menus. Highlights across this incredible D&B banquet abound from the moment Craze and Infiltrata's (aka 12th Planet) classic "Things Just Ain't The Same 4 Gangstas" opens the collection and Firefox's (aka Roni Size) seminal "Keep It Raw" headbutts us a few tracks later. Elsewhere the Jungle Cakes dons treat us to skanked-out banger after skanked-out banger; Spyda's iconic vocals and the hornets nest b-line on "Soundsystem Entertainer", Tippa's harmonic heaven on "Pass Me The Dubplate" and one of the nastiest remixes Deekline's notorious "Don't Smoke" has ever experienced. Loaded with an array of cool FX and two continuous mixes, this is a true jungle feast. What a time to be alive.

Review: It doesn't get more legendary than DJ SS' Formation Records, and the man himself has organised a fat, 56-track compilation that will take you back to jungle. This is part 1 of 3 parts, and at 20 tunes it's nothing to be sniffed at, featuring music from the likes of Kenny Ken, Dave Shichman, Sikki and Fabric8. The first of those has a track called 'Gimme Dat Roller' which is simply crazy, with a clean, penetrating percussion that flips and nods its head with flair; the bassline comes next, and it's a true creeper. 'Jah' by Fabric8 has a wicked, lounging reggae introduction that sets the stage for a jagged, spiking bassline that zips through the arrangement in a seriously catchy way. Seminal stuff.
