Review: The past couple of months have seen a release pretty much every week from Morillos Subliminal label, with the main man featuring alongside Romero and Nunez on many. For this one they hand over the trusty reigns to the UKs Jason Chance, who teams up with DJ Eako for the big room percussive house bomb that is 'What The Phat'. Following releases on Stealth and Toolroom, this is sure to send his profile next level, and rightly so. A thumping bassline and tribal beats, back an effective choppy vocal and plenty of epic build ups throughout to wrap the floor round your finger and twist the atmosphere up to a frenzy.. Subliminal can do no wrong at the moment!
Review: Warning; if this record was any funkier there would be several international arrest warrants out for it. Jason's fine-tuned beats cut the tricky disco line between straight-up funky house and warm Latino spirit. With the vocal charms of Michelle Weeks, it's an instant pleaser that could quite easily find its way to daytime radio. For something a little meatier, Lissat & Voltaxx have thrown down a chunkier remix that comes with much more pump and swing. This will get bigger and bigger the sunnier months progress...
