Review: It's 2017 and you can finally have your cake and eat it. It's all down to Jungle Cakes head chefs Deekline and Ed Solo who have been working hard in the bass kitchen since the foundation days. Here we find them in five Michelin star mode as they serve up a banquet of creations both from their own and their peers' menus. Highlights across this incredible D&B banquet abound from the moment Craze and Infiltrata's (aka 12th Planet) classic "Things Just Ain't The Same 4 Gangstas" opens the collection and Firefox's (aka Roni Size) seminal "Keep It Raw" headbutts us a few tracks later. Elsewhere the Jungle Cakes dons treat us to skanked-out banger after skanked-out banger; Spyda's iconic vocals and the hornets nest b-line on "Soundsystem Entertainer", Tippa's harmonic heaven on "Pass Me The Dubplate" and one of the nastiest remixes Deekline's notorious "Don't Smoke" has ever experienced. Loaded with an array of cool FX and two continuous mixes, this is a true jungle feast. What a time to be alive.

Review: Deep In The Jungle got picked out by UKF has one of the top labels of 2018 the other week and it's certainly well deserved, for they just consistently bang out some of the most vibey jungle around. They also represent forthcoming artists and we'll always support those who give a platform to people who otherwise might not. The album is a huge fifty tracks, spanning some well-known names like DJ Hybrid, SL8R, Conrad Subs, RMS and Kumarachi. The latter kicks off the album with a bang, 'Have You Here' sweeping down the range with its DLR-esque bassline and riotous attitude. It's a emblematic of the quality present on the rest of the album - check it out.

Review: Do you like venturing deep into the jungle? Well, if you do, make sure you don't get lost - the jungle is massive. Jokes aside, this four-track sampler precludes a full-length release that offers you the exact type of jungle tour you need. Up first is the prolific DJ Hybrid with 'Rumble In The Jungle', a stuttering, rambunctious jungle cut that hits hard and leaves you in a slight state of shock. 'Run Em Out' by Epicentre is full of upbeat ragga vocals and samples, the top-line to a tune that has a ferocious bottom-line pinning it all together over a rolling percussive line. Kumarachi bloody does in on 'Have You Here' and to finish, RMS goes in just as hard on 'Clash Stash'. Top sampler - can't wait for the full thing.

The skank-savvy "When I Pull Up" takes a Cornell Campbell-sample and builds a really warm and juicy reggae groove around it. For a spacier, laser-licking experience jump straight on "Bounce With Me". A sharper stepper with waspy bass and trembling classic rave arpeggios there's just enough space for some instantly distinctive vocals. La di da di... Do YOU like to party?

Liondub and good friend Marcus Visionary curate another absolutely slamming collection of upfront bubblers and blazers from a whole range of on-point talents for the fifth volume of their Jungle To The World series. Every single track is a highlight here as we slide and glide from vibe to vibe. Bladerunner's 'Jungle Strike' is the perfect intro that sucks us deep into action with pure energy while elsewhere other cuts like the VIP of Jayline's 'The Lion' go full-on elephant bass, Conrad Subs goes classical jungle with the chops, cuts and warping bass notes of 'Call It Love' and Teej gets militant with his breaks on his remix of SuM's 'Disorder'.
