Review: Bushwacka! and Michel De Hey team up for a four-track EP of techno and house on Future Feel. The EP showcases their vast skills and experience as veteran DJs and producers. The first track "Do What You Want" is a house banger with a swing-fuelled beat, a catchy vocal sample and a euphoric chord progression. The second track "Cream" is a minimal groove with a bouncy bassline, atonal chords and steely rhythms to keep the party going on and on!
Review: Having won some fans with his Hypercolour release, Huxley now leaps to 20:20 Vision to dish out more smooth, feel-good house music. On "Box Clever" a rubbery bass line and steady drum machine beats meet with cheery piano samples for a track that could become synonymous with outdoor grooving in the sunshine. "Atonement" is more inwardly focused, not least in the filtered synth that lends a sexy late-night feel to the track. "Out Of My Mind" switches things up nicely with a cheeky broken beat bouncing off smatterings of Detroit chords for a surprising and addictive groove.

Review: Germany's Michael Vater has been producing house music under the Phonique moniker for the best part of two decades now, and he's released on pretty much every label worth releasing on, in and around the European quarters. This time, Vater lands on Basic Motion with "Feel What You Want", a poppy house tune with a progressive edge, and a late night vibe. The tune is remixed by relative newcomer Maywald, who strips the original down and adds in a new flurry of melodies in its upper tier; there's also a bumpier sunrise mix, and a radio edit for your car stereo.
