Review: With this lusciously glassy-eyed EP, Blind Jacks Journey offshoot introduces us to a brand new talent: debutant producer Iona Capri. The resultant EP is, in parts, utterly stunning, with the previously unheard talent largely focusing on intergalactic ambience, melodious and spacey synthesizer soundscapes and the kind of rubbery, glassy-eyed dancefloor fare that sits somewhere between classic Italian dream house and the finest Motor City techno futurism. While dancefloor moments are relatively few and far between - brilliant closer Tina Maria and steel drum-clad electro workout "Palm Tree Popping Off" aside - the quality of the producer's beat-less excursions is exceptional. In fact, we'd happily listen to tracks like "Moove Closer" and "Wanna Love Yoo" all day.
