Review: We all know and love Mark Pritchard. The Cornish producer has been one of Warp's finest artists since the '90s, and he has produced nothing but excellence from day one. We don't need to go into his history, as you should bloody well know it given the fact that you've landed here, but we will give you a little taster of what is at the heart of Under The Sun. The sound is definitely one that is shifting in shape, and while he has been known to make everything from techno to futuristic jungle, this LP is much more about mood and vibe, something that is clear from the appearance of Radiohead's Thom Yorke on "Beautiful People". That is not to say that the album is in any way too delicate or soft and, in fact, there are plenty of dark and foreboding moments that have rendered this dude's musical career so illustrious.

Review: With the wealth of Miami Music Week compilations out there allow us to filter through the bunch to bring you a selection of Armada Music must-haves. A big label player in the EDM scene, the Dutch hub scoops out this mega compilation taking in a wealth of new and recognised producers, remixers to extended rarities and bonus tracks. Kicking off with Loud Luxury's summer glazed ballad "Cold Feet", Lost Frequencies, too, plays on a poppy, R&B and folk tip in "Beat Of My Heart". Even better when it's curated by none other than Sean P, the veteran disco/boogie producer pal of Joey Negro. Sean's diggin' skills are so legendary he even had his own section in the Music & Video Exchange and here he puts these skills to use, rustling up 27 dance obscurities. Highlights include the lo-fi UK funk jam "Bye Bye Baby" by Joanne Ellis, the dubbed-out punky bass mantra "Trinidad Rock" by King David and the percussion frenzy of Jimmy Spencer's mad cover of "Summertime".

Review: Midnight Riot isn't messing around with this collection of remixes of tracks from Detroit veteran Amp Fiddler's recent Motor City Booty set. Label boss Yam Who has pulled out all the stops, drawing on both Midnight Riot regulars and genuinely hot talents such as Eli Escobar (whose slick, soulful house rub of "Soul Fly Part 2" is a highlight), Thatmanmonkz, Inkswel and Mark E (who genuinely steals the show with a dreamy, mid-tempo take on "Superficial"). Taken as a whole, it's far more "killer" than "filler", with sterling contributions from Sam Redmore (dub-flecked Afro-house goodness), Kid Sublime (sun-kissed boogie-soul), chewy Rubs (low-slung disco-house heaviness), and Modified Man (synth-heavy broken beat).
