Review: Rewind! Audio Addict go back to this immense sample-fest from Canadian RMS 'Back To Reality'. Loaded with a series of recognisable vocals, hooks and horn lines, 'Back To Life' hit with both familiarity and fire back in 2017. Now the man has updated with it with several new coats of bassline armour. Scorching with new bass textures and charged with more of an unpredictable arrangement it's a fantastic update (and the original still kicks hard, too!) Come again...

Review: Both spotted on DJ Hybrid's Deep In The Jungle imprint, the ever-sharpened sonics of RMS and Dcision appear in full widescreen EP form on his flagship label Audio Addict. The outcome is every bit as gully, necksnappy and happy slappy as you'd want it to be: "Feel The Melody" taps deep into the timeless rave aesthetics, "This Is My Sound" loops up a sultry Riya-style vocal with savage soul results while Shotz joins the fray for a KO finale where the bass tears everything within a two mile radius a new one. For added kicks, RMS throws in the solo sampler salute "Back To Reality", a bumper so heavy in reference points you might just singe your whiskers. Living the dream.

Review: This is a nice collection of tight rollers, which will work across a variety of floors. Our favourite track of the release has got to be 'Right In Front Of You' with is twisted, itchy and glitchy vibe, the vocal shines stunningly bright against a dark and mutated soundscape. Classic vocals seem to be a theme of this release, amongst the crashing drums and slowed sax of 'Back To Reality' we hear the ever recognisable refrain from Soul II Soul's 'Back To Life'. 'Pump This Party' is another highlight of the EP following suit with another catchy and widely recognisable vocal sample.

Following massive selections from the likes of Benny Page, Dub Pistols and Born On Road (to name but a few) the Deep In The Jungle/Audio Addict bossman picks up where he and Dope Ammo left us in 2020 with his last Welcome To The Jungle appearance. This time he's boosted things even more with a staggering 62 tracks that covers the entire spectrum from an almighty rollcall of talents ranging from Voltage and Nicky Blackmarket to Napes to Serum, Jam Thieves, Conrad Subs, Bladerunner and so many more. This an absolutely incredible collection and selection from Hybrid and the Jungle Cakes crew. Essential.

Review: Oh hello there Audio Addict. Celebrating their 10th anniversary in true style, DJ Hybrid's label call up some serious names to get their remix claws into many of the label's classics. Comprising the likes of Gray, DJ Gaw, K-Jah, Section, Conrad Subs, Parallel, Disrupta and so many more on-point names in modern D&B, each cut gets turbo-charged and subverted to the max. With 26 remixes, there are too many highlights to mention but you'd be mad to sleep on Disrupta's savage take on Hybrid's 'Shoot 'Em Up', Parallel's epic sweeps on Swerve's 'Massive & Crew' or GLM's cosmic take on Section's 'Perfect Space'. Happy anniversary.

Review: DJ Hybrid looks back over another successful and hugely prolific year with this massive 31 track compendium of Audio Addict slammers, bangers and a few cheeky exclusives. A great opportunity to get up to speed on the 170BPM clarity DJ Hybrid operates the label at, every single track guarantees heat. Notable shouts go out to Kumurachi's various inclusions (especially Octo-Pi's brand new remix of "Phatty"), RMS & Dcision's low-riding bumper "One Ting", Epicentre's slinky soul-touched roller "infamous", Agro's skank-slapped "Bust Dis Ting" and Swerve's maximum-boosting twist of Hybrid's "What Else". But that really is the tip of the double-A iceberg. It's been an exceptional year for the label, and this is proof.

Review: Founded by DJ Hybrid, one of the hardest working men in the last 10 years of jungle, Audio Addict has been a vital platform for many artists to breakthrough. Kumarachi, Agro, Scartip, RMS, Section, Jaybee and many more enjoyed early cuts on the label, who've always had an open remit that's stretched from heavier dancefloor cuts to deeper, more junglist tunes. Recently rebooted with a new plan and re-generated crew, the label now look back over many killer cuts from last decade. Highlights include the sample-smashing 'Back To Reality' (RMS) , the epic disco feels of 'All You Need To Know' (Bassface Sascha & Fiendsoul) and the bleepy, low-slung stepper 'My Days Are Cold' (Agro). Here's to another 10 years.
