Review: Not yet a year old, but already Insomniac's new talent championing In / Rotation imprint has already blessed us with 25 releases from across the forefront spectrum. With previous releases ranging from Left / Right's blissed bass "Bloom" to LA Riots' late night slinky techno "House Philosophy", they now go full-on D&B mode with Consouls' cohort Des McMahon who delivers two white knuckle wipe-outs. "Black Widow" funks with a perfectly loosened rattle, an evocative vocal texture and well-tamed bass growls while "Falling Apart" provides more of a tunnelling, big breeze effect with mildly liquified pads and a warm sense of focus. Think late 2000s Hospital but with modern day production muscle. In / Rotation = heavy rotation.

Review: Phizzy has long since shown himself to be a man of many layers and flavours but this is a whole new side altogether. Tapping into more soulful pastures, "Spot Light" tips a respectful nod to the legacy of Hidden Agenda or the jazzy work of Makoto with smooth, shimmering but weighted flow. A future classic, without question. "Rotate" takes more of a jungle twist with pitched amens running point over another swooning instrumental palette. Genuinely outstanding and a perfect fit for Headz, too. Nailed it.

Review: Last spotted on the likes of CNVX and None60, Wagz returns to Influence with two powerful late night soul-arresters. 'Rotations' hits like Seba in a stern mood or Klute in a reasonable mood. Big in the space-age / cosmic textures and extra large helpings in the weight department, there's more than a touch of the Soul:r about this one. 'Velvet' maintains the quality with more star-gazing elements, a big purring sub and a gentle progression that will elevate your crowd without them even realising. Stunning.
