Review: If you like dark, tribal dubbed out bass music then look no further than Thing who brings us the sumptuous Cold Hearted Dub EP on the Dubthing imprint. Bringing in a wealth of different influences across this four-track EP, prepare to be blown away. Title track "Cold Hearted Dub" kicks things off with thunderous tribal drums, pounding bassline and ominous SFX reverberating in a cavernous, ice cold soundscape. "Future Tribes" gets even deeper and darker with its shuddering sounds and haunted rhythms while "Vintage Punch" continues to weave the tapestry, with thunderous, clapping snares and weight sub bass pressure. "Flute" provides a more instrumental ending to the proceedings. Avoid this at your peril!
