Review: Whenever we see Krafty Kuts touch down, we know we are in for a good time, with this latest remix package seeing his insatiable hit 'I Got The Feeling' reworked into two spicy new versions, exploring the abstract edges of the breakbeat spectrum. First up, the Fort Knox Five remix sees the original chopped and screwed into a sub-driven roller, combining tidy breaksy sweeps and euphoric vocal presses for a tidy final result. On the flip, sliding synthesiser slams and steadily tapping melodies are brought to the forefront with Lee Combs providing the second full remix, followed by a tidy instrumental cut of the Fort Knox Five version for good measure. Lovely work!

Review: Jalapeno bring us their latest V/A collection rounding up the cream of the label's recent releases. The line-up features all the usual suspects (The Allergies, Ivo FitzRoy, Flevans, Smoove & Turrell and label bosses Skeewiff) as well as a handful of newer names, and if you're a fan of the label's trademark blend of funk, soul, breaks and hip-hop - with the emphasis this time out firmly on the soul side - then it's hard to see how you'd end up dissatisfied here. Standouts for yours truly include Wolfgang Valbrun's 'Cyclone', with its big, cavernous production redolent of 60s/northern soul, and Mr Doris & D-Funk's rapped homage to UK childhood 'Back In The Day', but you'll doubtless find your own favourites...

Review: Fun loving Party Breaks and Beats label Bomb Strikes serve up a retrospective collection curated by label bosses Mooqee and Beatvandals. With 31 full-length cuts plus a one-hour DJ mix, there's no faulting the VFM as we move through breaks, funk, hip-hop and the occasional gnarlier nugget. Standouts include Andy Cooper & The Allergies' rework of Run DMC's 'Mary Mary' and Beatvandals & A Skilz's 2007 cut 'Sunshine', which mashes up Roy Ayers and Indeep. But the one we keeping back to is Mooqee's 'Supacat Police' (2006), which makes devastating, ragga-fied use of chunks from a certain KRS-One classic that we won't insult your intelligence by naming!
