Review: There is no label name more fitting than Black Holes ITWT, with their compilation series and single releases being some of the finest and most 'pure' in trance for many years now. Dutch producer and label regular Marc Simz returns with the pacey 'Angels' featuring the stunning vocals of Emma Lock which will have every hair on your body standing on end, and shivers going straight through you. The music surrounding is kept soft and simplistic with tricking melodies subtly building sat above warm and glowing pads. This is a nod back to the good ol days, and dropped in a trance set now will send the hands instantly to the sky. An amazing piece of music which is both emotive and entertaining, and one which we haven't stopped listening too.
Review: In Trance We Trust revisit Marc Simz' most recent single to present a stack of brand new remixes, which will no doubt fire it back into your peaktime sets. With seven fresh takes on offer it's hard to know where to start, with the label meeting the often failed task of delivering something for everyone. For deeper warm up moods head straight for Tucandeo, while in total contrast Indecent Noise thrash it out with their trademark tech trance power that will blow the roof straight off. Mike Saint-Jules manages to sit somewhere between the two, maintaining all the Original qualities, just with a little more (much needed) umpfh!
Review: Dutchman Marc Simz is a man who is truly on the up of late, bubbling away under the surface for the past couple of years, it seems 2012 is going to be his year... especially with tunes like this. Having found a fitting home at Black Hole, he follows up Aerofoil collab 'Blikkenslager' with this killer vocal trancer 'This Is Love'. Featuring a new talent it Naomi Striemer, the production is as slick as ever, with plenty of room being left amongst the stunning melodies for Naomi's vocals to shine through and take centre stage... Hands in the air moment for sure!!
