Review: Throughout the course of last year, New Yorker Matt Lange cemented himself as one of Anjunadeeps key players, with releases like 'That Much Higher' and 'Bad Year Blimp'. His latest EP is a fine example of his electronic diversity and musical talent, and so very on point with the labels trademark sound. Lead track 'Avalon' is a chilling vocal moment with reverse reverb synths, bubbling bottom end and tech house drums complete with a stunning atmospheric break. On the flip 'Griffith Park' follows a similar cross genre route with very raw elements and another dramatic vocal. Very fresh indeed!
Review: Not so long ago was Above & Beyonds deeper offshoot regarded as the 'sister' label, it now reigns supreme as quite possibly one of our favourites. With expert A&R'ing and artists development at the forefront, the diversity and talent scouting is like no other. The latest is no doubt the brainchild of the Anjunabeats team with Andrew Bayer and Matt Lange locking horns for what has become one of the golden trios standout tracks of recent months. Starring the sultry vocal tones of Kerry Leva, of all the mixes it's the on form Norin & Rad which does the business for us, and will no doubt garner results on the floors as well.
