Review: A 40th anniversary reissue here for a first-gen Italo disco track that originally came out (for the benefit of the mathematically challenged!) back in 1984. Cyber People was the studio alias of Italian producer Giorgio Spagna, and in 'Polaris' he delivered an instant scene anthem that packed a veritable roll-call of the style's trademark sounds: vocoder vox, crisp 'Blue Monday'-esque drum machine beats, glacial keys and analogue stabs galore. Presented here are the Original and Club Version from the original 12-inch release, plus a remix from fellow Italo veteran Flemming Dalum and a brace of re-edits. The mixes don't vary hugely, truth be told, but Italo fans will lap 'em up...
