Heavy Artillery
Heavy Artillery (SkisM remix) - (5:04) 140 BPM Hot
Reploid (Document One remix) - (4:41) 140 BPM
Review: First up, Never Say Die's Skism steps up offering a truly rambunctious remix of Excision & Downlink's original "Heavy Artillery". Think Doctor P meets Skrillex meets early Caspa and you're almost there; we're talking piercing synth screeches, thudding drum kicks, industrial vocodered vocal sample, warping accelerations and skittering SFX in plentiful abundance. And if that wasn't enough Document One goes in on "Reploid" with reckless abandon, twisting it up with tremendous crashes, Flux Pavillion style flourishes and wobbly bassline in full tow. If you like your dubstep raucous and ridiculous, then this one's for you.

Go To A Rave
Melamin & Wicked Sway - "Go To A Rave" (feat Darkelixer) - (4:13) 140 BPM
Downlink - "Antimatter" (feat Depone) - (4:56) 140 BPM Hot
Dux - "Only Kaos" - (5:01) 140 BPM
Excision - "The Village" - (5:44) 140 BPM
Review: A monstrous three-track EP here from a collection of the more aggressive side of dubstep's finest, including Downlink, Dux and Excision. "Antimatter (feat. Depone)" kicks things off with a frenzy of juddering synths, pounding bass and razor sharp snares and paves the way for Dux's "Only Chaos", up next, with its cinematic intro, dramatic stabs, trigger cocking SFX and Noisia-esque explosive quality. Frequent collaborator with Datsik, Excision rounds things off with "The Village" - an epic, tech-y venture with belching bassline and growling subs. Intense but impressive.

Review: Five years fly by, but make no mistake: it's a long time in the label game. Especially a game as crowded and competitive as dubstep. Paradise Lost's success can be attributed to their constant hunt for brand new talent and an ever-developing remit that embraces melody, emotion and organic elements. If you've missed out on any of their half-decade highlights, here's a great place to catch up. Highlights include the blissed out shimmers of Vesicle's "We Are Lost", Rrkk's LFO-style angular amen ruck-out "Treish" and the somnambulant sub sludge on Dubtek & The SubDivision's oppressive stomper "Mecca". Here's to another five years.

Review: What a cool way to celebrate half a decade of dark dance dynamics. Not just a cool reminder of Paradise Lost's contribution and dedication to the scene, but a subtle way of showing that their b-sides are just as important, timeless and essential as their A-sides. Highlights can be found in every direction across the 26 tracks but here are a few for starters: the demonic guitar chugs on "Titanium" (which actually sound like they could be from the metal band Paradise Lost!), the thick dream-weaving atmospheres and trippiness of "Elephant Walk", the jugular-slicing riff of "Cuttin" and the loopy vocal insanity of "Guardian"... we could go on all day here. Dig deep and you'll find many more highlights. Here's to another five years!

Excision & Far Too Loud - "Destroid 8 Annihilate" - (5:10) Hot
Excision & Ajapai - "Destroid 9 Blast Off" - (4:30)
Review: A dubstep super group comprising Excision, Downlink and KJ Sawka, Destroid come armed with their own full-throttle live show, myriad high grade co-labs and even their own comic. If you heard last year's "Raise Your Fist" (and let's face it - who didn't?) you'll know exactly what to expect; ugly, savage aggression wrapped up in huge hooks and lip-bursting drums. Highlights include the stark balance of dark and light on "Annihilate", the metal-ready D&B on "Put It Down" and the NES-trigged glitch hop "Flip The Switch".
