Review: In the space of two releases, Australian imprint Big Doint seems to have become one of the most hyped imprints on the planet. In many ways, it's understandable; the label's trademark blends of deep house and disco have a genuine freshness that's hard to dislike. This two-track blast from LK (AKA Lee Konitz) has thrills by the bucket load, with lead cut "Body & Soul" - a percussive house jam built around a ludicrously flexible funk bassline - sounding like an anthem in waiting. "Perhentian" is deeper and jazzier, coming on like Francis Inferno bonding with Moodymann over several blunts and an all-night session on the MPC.
