Review: Two years on from his last release - a solo salvo on Scottish house institution Glasgow Underground - Ludo Lacoste returns. This time round, Lacoste is joined by Purple Tea regular John Lebel on what appears to be the pair's first collaborative single. Title track 'What You Got' is a very UK-sounding workout - a rolling hybrid of deep house, tech-house and UK garage sounds rich in warming organ stabs, wonky sub-bass, cut-up female vocals snippets and crunchy drums. On 'So Good', the pair charge further towards peak-time house territory, with more lopped and cut-up female vocal snippets dancing atop thickset house drums, deep sub bass, spacey synth sounds and minor key motifs.
