Review: You've got to love Firepower for their distinct iconography on each release. Matching the sharp focus of the music, their trademark technicolour bass terror is evident in every aspect of their releases. "Bangladesh" is one of a kind; taking a classic tabla and distinctive rapid chant vocals there's an incessant groove which maintains a certain level of unruly funky, no matter how hard the bass gets. "Trippy" takes us much more of a cosmic journey. There's still a whole load of low-end riff mischief, but it's backed with the largest synth hook this side of the cosmos.

The "Ride The Universe mix" is total 80s electro-disco abandon and the Love mix is 80s again, but more dreamy, like Zoot Woman. Leon Du Starr wraps things up with a more loopy, house-funk interpretation.
