Review: Veteran American DJ/producer Randall Jones made his Bedrock debut way back in 2003 on The Pathwork EP. A return to the label has been long overdue and his new 53 Stickup EP sees his first solo release in over a decade. The title track is a dreamy and melodic tech house cut, awash in intricate rhythms and a dazzling array of melodies - the sort of track you could imagine Lee Burridge playing at a Los Angeles rooftop party this summer. Label co-head Nick Muir steps up for a remix that injects the track with more energy and dancefloor dynamics, and a second original offering in the form of "Lucky Charm" a moody and atmospheric epic with a menacing razor sharp bassline. An edit follows by Jones' old Philly-based posse Tigerhook, which hones in on the darker and dubbier elements of the track.
