Review: Following on from the inaugural Metaroots split release from late last year, Suara delivers a second volume. Leading the charge on this collection of dynamic dance floor tracks is Rohar, with the blustering tribal drums of "Blunder", while Alessandro Grops, who featured on the first edition drops the stripped back, vocal-sampling jack of "Rexilety". Gaston Zani is another return visitor, who also draws on vocal samples, applying them to a dense, looped groove. Best of all though is Victor Fernandez' contribution, with the ominous synth stabs and steely, relentless rhythm of "The Beginning Of The End" redolent of Dave Clarke's Red series.

Niereich Vs. Shadym & Linus Quick's "Don't Let Me Down", where pounding kicks and lithe break beats underpin haunting female vocals. Konrad delivers a similar sound, albeit with more brash vocals delivered over a rolling, filtered groove. Meanwhile, Tenzella represents an intense version of Fitzpatrick's sound, as acid lines are fired at hyper speed over the pounding drums of "Excuse". Representing better known artists and the more extreme end of We Are The Brave's sound, Filterheadz drops the rave siren and hardcore bass-led "Emphasis".

Review: Love Parade founder Dr Motte celebrates 30 years of the landmark event with this fine mix of underground classics. It starts with the timeless trance of Der Dritte Raum's "Hale Bopp" and Tube & Berger's electro house banger "The Young & The Wild Ones". As one of Berlin's most established DJs, Motte's sound is also rooted in techno, and he doesn't disappoint here, dropping the low-slung minimalism of Joey Beltram's remix of Abe Duque & Blake Baxter's "Let's Take It Back" as well as tougher tunes like the hammering, Chicago style of DJ Rush & Eric Sneo's "Take Me Back" and the bugged out acid on Christopher Kah's "Heatwaves".
