Review: This tasty collaboration has been on the cards for some time, following the massive success of 'Must Be Love' (where the pair were joined by BT, and Nadia Ali). With one of the scenes hottest and most promising names joins forces with the undisputed king of trance, the result was always going to be massive, and this is everything we could have hoped for. There is a real elegance and sophistication about 'Nehalennia' with the pair holding back on the obvious and keeping the focus on both beauty, and warmth. The production is punchy and everything from the bubbling melodies to the whispering vocal effects are finely tuned and instantly memorable. All elements build to that magical moment at the breakdown.. The first of many these two, we hope.
Review: Something very special here as prolific songwriter and EDM vocalist Christian Burns teams up with non other than Paul Oakenfold, with a little help from another of trance music's great voices Jes. The Incessantly catchy and instantly memorable 'As We Collide' has all the right elements to be a crossover hit, with an accessible cross genre mix of trance and house, its easy on the ear and while it will no doubt be a winner on the worlds dance floors, we have no doubt it will be venturing to the radios very soon. Get on it early and be one of the players to break this great track!
Review: Armin Van Buurens 'A State of Trance' radio show (and the large scale events, compilations, and everything else that flow from it) is without doubt the global flagship for trance music. Each and every week he handpicks the very best music setting the barometer for what's hot and what's not. Here we have 21 highlights for December which includes; Shogun 'UFO', 'Copperfield' from Orjan NIlseo, and Rank1 '7 Instead Of 8'. Not to mention the likes of; Marco V, Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz, and Lange.. We don't need to tell you how essential this is!
Review: This mighty team effort from Oakie, Christian Burns, and JES gets a much deserved second outing with a hat-trick of new remixes from some of the hottest names of the moment. Orjan Nilsen shines yet again with a gritty, tech edged mix that adds a highly effective contrasting element against the brighter vocals, making it our favorite. Joris Voorn is up next with something much more party fuelled then allot of his output. Completing the package is LA talent Andy Caldwell with a punchy electro educed effort for the house heads. All three of these are top draw!
Review: The world's number 1 DJ Armin Van Buuren takes one last look back on 2012, with the 10 biggest tracks of the year handpicked by the man himself (with a little help from listeners of his much loved A State of Trance show, of course). Juno favourite 'Concrete Angel' by Gareth Emery kicks things off in fine fashion, while W&W, Aly & Fila, and Andrew Rayel all follow suit with equally epic tracks. There's a tantalizing trio from Armin too, including 'Jai Envue De Toi' under his Gaia guise, and 'Suddenly Summer'. We shouldn't need to tell you how essential this is!
