The Sprechen team have delivered a tasty selection of futuristic house-driven taste on this latest link up with Acolyte, unveiling three dancefloor ready bubblers with a tonne of original nostalgic influence woven throughout. First up, we take in the title track 'Helter Skelter', a steady, moog-driven chop through old school drum processing and euphoric pad textures, before the swirling synth patterns and distant vocal reverberations of 'Kill The Bill' sweep into play. Finally, 'Sirens' slows the pace down massively with a much calmer combination of moog-like bass notation and atmospheric texturing, rounding off this one with a dash of additional finesse.
The Shall Not Fade parade continues to roll forward, with an explosive collection of remixes now on display from Chrissy, giving 'You Don't Have To Worry' a number of top quality refixes, perfect for sending dances nationwide into an absolute frenzy. First, the 'Big Ang Garage' remix takes the track down a breaks-driven, nostalgia-flood avenue of swiftness, focussing on glittering chords and tidy drum work, before the 'Big Ang Rave' version pulls things back for a more piano-driven feeling. Finally, the 'Paul & Shark' remix gives the track an even sharper feeling, focussing on clicky percussion and heavy vocal delays, to round off a top spectrum of spicy reworks.
The ever-ready versatility of MKII is once again back on display with a vibrant exploration of hardcore and breakbeat fusion, coming to us courtesy of the super consistent Dansu Discs crew. First up, the old school rave piano's and heavily affected vocal slides of 'My Mind' set the tone perfectly, upping the emotional tonality further with the euphoric vocal taps and more standardised breaks action of 'No More' in close pursuit. Next, another tempo jump as the title track 'On Your Own' fuses high intensity breaks, keys and catchy vocal overlays for a rave-ready adventure, with the EP then closing on summertime flavours of 'To Be Free', closing off another impressive outing from all involved.
Multi Culti presents Orchid's vibrant homage to Spain's trance era on this album, blending Balearic charm with a rejection of modern techno's commercialism. Orchid, residing in a psychedelic-deprived environment, longs for the cultural amalgamation of sensuality, power, affection, and sweetness prevalent in Spanish-speaking music communities. Techno Valencia invites listeners to embark on a nostalgic voyage, conjuring the soul-stirring resonance of a bygone musical epoch. Through the exploration of archival sounds, Orchid revives the essence of unadulterated musical expression, urging a return to a time when music was deeply emotive--a testament to passion and enjoyment in an era overshadowed by commercialization.
