Review: Birmingham's finest Subb-an seems to wander that perfect level between the popular and the underground, having released on a diverse plethora of labels in recent years. From Crosstown Rebels, 20:20 Vision and Visionquest, to vinyl only imprints like Cabinet, Eastenderz and Pleasure Zone. Here he's back for the London-based Moscow Records, run by Archie Hamilton. It is tough rolling tech house all the way as you'd expect from this now veteran producer: from the dubby and emotive deepness of the title track "Rise" featuring some captivating vocal textures by Ahmad Larnes atop.
