Cinthie

German producer, DJ, label and record store owner Cinthie, dubbed by many as the Berlin Queen of House, has grown to become one of the most sought- after DJ’s, producers, remixers and curators in the contemporary electronic music scene across the past decade. Her releases for the likes of Aus, Shall Not Fade, Heist and a curated DJ Kicks compilation encapsulated the raw House sound she’s become synonymous with, although her productions often traverse through numerous other genres from downtempo, nu-disco, footwork, dubby techno and more. Amongst releases on external labels Cinthie is also at the helm of her own 803 Crystal Grooves and we_r house imprints and curating the now much loved Elevate.Berlin record store which has become an essential stop off point for diggers and DJ’s from across the globe visiting Berlin. Amongst these many facets that make Cinthie an unstoppable force in the industry, she’s also maintaining a heavy touring schedule which takes her across the globe to perform at many of the leading club spaces and festivals throughout Europe, Asia, the Americas and beyond. 2023 also marked another milestone in the evolution of Cinthie’s lengthy list of achievements as she embarked on her first ever live tour, performing at the likes of Sonar and Mutek among others. With Cinthie on a seemingly unfaltering path of discovery and jumping at the chance to tackle new challenges on the road and in the studio, the future continues to burn bright for this modern icon of House.

Review: A decade has now passed since Future Disco's debut compilation of colourful nu-disco treats and disco-fired house grooves first hit record stores. To celebrate that fact, they've given their distinctive design a makeover and asked chief compiler Sean Brosnan to serve up another hot-to-trot collection of cuts in their usual style. As you'd expect, Brosnan has picked some belters, with highlights including Darshan Jesrani's sublime, mid-'80s NYC style revision of Galaxians' "How Do U Feel", the D-Train inspired synth shuffle of Flamingo Pier's "Hold It", the sun-kissed '80s soul/Whispers style warmth of Kiwi's "Midnight Driver" and the dreamy, synth bass-propelled deepness of Force of Nature's loved-up rework of Khotin's "Aloe Drink".
