Evolution
Various
Review: The celebration of Optiv's influence continues as C4C pay tribute to his legacy and the huge hole his tragic passing has left in the game with the second of this trilogy album series Stories. Just like the 'Origins' chapter, 'Evolution' features a whole range of major league artists who've all been influenced by the late great Cause 4 Concern founder. Break, Kolectiv, Current Value, IHR, Task Horizon, Audio, Malux and so many more brilliant souls all deliver exclusive goods to the album as C4C raise money for Optiv's sons. RIP.

State Of Mind Remixed
Played by: Shrust
Review: Eatbrain are the Hungarian purveyors of big beats and badass basses, the moody crew in the corner who are intimidating with all their talk of death and destruction. That's exactly what's present on this EP which features four remixes of State of Mind from SoM themselves, IHR, Synergy and Mob Tactics. IHR's remix of Highlander is the standout tune, with a hype-inducing build that explodes into a blustering array of tangled bass and tendrils of percussive force with hints of acid in the synths and a sharp edge to the overall sound. Amazing tune.

Caliban/Giant Growth
Review: Let It Roll is the world' largest D&B festival, a 3 day extravaganza of beats out in the Czech Republic that aims to represent every corner of the scene. Being held in Eastern Europe, however, makes Neurofunk a big part of the show and this is accurately represented in the output of the Let it Roll record label. IHR lands on that same label here, with features from Gydra and Merikan, both of which absolutely slam. We especially like the infectious funkiness of Caliban and it's sick to see neuro getting back to its funky roots. Every inch of this tune drips with movement and it's soaked through in energy and momentum. Love it!

20 Years LP
Various
Review: C4C Recordings are celebrating 20 years soon and this album is their celebration: a mammoth 40 tunes of hard-hitting neuro goodness to warm your bones and rattle your face holes. The list of producers present on this album is pretty exhaustive and, perhaps some high-profile exceptions aside, every single neurofunk producer you could want is here. Dub Elements land on their feet with the exceptional 'Beasts Abode', a slightly less frantic but equally venomous tune compared with lots of other offerings. Other highlights come from ChaseR, Current Value and Agressor Bunx and the whole album is special - go check it.
