Review: As a fantastic way to close out the year, we see the Future Follower's team linking up for an end of year disco, welcoming 20 tracks onto the label via their brand new 'Decade' compilation series. Through a vibrant combination of genres and styles, we see the likes of Digital Pilgrimz, RDubz, Sirmo, Shiva, Sketia and more all getting involved, sweeping from raucous dubstep designs to more dancefloor driven bassline bangers. It's a very vibrant collection and is a fantastic way for the label to celebrate a decade of activity, with our favourite features including the electrifying synthesiser work of Reigamortis' 'Hondo', next to the creepy soundscapes and blippy delays of 'Abyss Stare' from Kyoshe', with the unique, funk infused layouts of MAW's 'Jazztalk' also turning a few heads. Exceptional stuff!
Review: The Straight Up trawler has sailed into the choppy breakbeat seas and, once again, caught a fine catch. 26 tracks, in total, each one reflecting a different flavour of the genre, this could be one of the label's finest fishing sessions to date. Ranging from the classic, sneering Botchit-style tears of "Da Dogz" and BreaksMafia's super-rude take on Dave London's classic "Black Disc" to the more contemporary trance-tinged "As Ice" and the filmic spine-shuddering rushes of "Vertigo", Straight Up have ensured no breakbeat fan has been ignored during the making of this extensive album. Epic.
