Review: It's some two decades since Michael Donaldson put out his first single under the Q0-Burns Abstract Message alias. While it's been a while since the Orlando-based producer put out any new material, he continues to dip into the vaults every now and then. Rmx1 is another such collection, and features a quartet of vintage, previously unreleased reworks from the producer's vast archive. There's plenty to get the juices flowing, including a head-nodding, slo-mo house version of The Antirealists' "Absence", a deliciously dreamy, hypnotic deep house take on Mathew Scott's "Trauma", and a punchy breaks-meets-New Jersey garage rub of Church Williams' baggy "Touch The Sun".
