Review: The reign of Duploc continues to expand as we are here greeted with their 27th official release, and it packs just as much potency as the first one they ever put together. They here employ the darkened production stylings of 207, who touches down with two absolutely lethal originals, the first of which goes by the name of ''DSP'. Through a high energy combination of gnarly reese growls and stalwart drum sounds, this one marches forward with some serious pace. On the flip, 'Jungle Lizard' does just as much damage, focussing more of extended, distorted bass tones and war-like drum designs. Crunchy stuff!

Review: Acclaimed London producer Arkwright has already created quite a stir in the music biz with less than a handful of releases. Here the Rinse FM fave, makes his debut on Duploc, bringing fire with just two fierce tracks. The shadow of dubstep is naturally all over the release but never obscuring the music from its own unique sound. "Fool" is brooding and full of menace, with creepy horror melodies and tough echoing drums. "Networks" meanwhile is more sublime with dreamy synth washes layered to devastating effect. A truly new talent emerges.

Review: Belgian badness.... Artoniks returns with two more intriguing moments in contemporary dub. Both tracks experimenting the amount of space that can be laced around and between the kicks, there's a unique flavour throughout: "Torodial" goes on a delightful half tempo wonk with one distinctive bass tone providing the melodic thrust while "Shifted" goes for more of an electrified slug vibe with an array of bass tones that wouldn't go amiss in a Hatcha or Caspa set.

Review: Belgium's Artroniks has been quietly pushing a whole load of bass on our digital pages for quite some time now, and he always springs to mind us our go-to guy when it comes to heavy, freaky and utterly mental dubstep. "Illusion" is the perfect corner dweller's tune, a punchy half-time drum punch with electrifying sonics and plenty of atmospheric delight. "Phasewalk", on the other hand, is gentler and more uplifting, taking Artroniks to greener, more stepping pastures for the centre of the dancefloor.

Review: Boston's AXH is increasingly in the spotlight when it comes to deep, raucous dubstep vibes and, perhaps because he's from the other side of the pond, his material just seems to have something fresh and alluring about it - not to hype it up or anything! After a killer appearance on London's TEMPA not too long ago, the bad badboy runs two new dope tunes on the impressive Duploc imprint. "Witch doctor" blows a menacing, cosmic array of bass tones over a dismantled percussion beat, slamming all over the place like it's 2006, while "Lionart" takes some inspiration from the ragga school of thought in delivering its dutty, wobbling swarm of bass over deep, mystical roots vibes. Review: Duploc continue their fantastic run of original releases here as they invite in the super creative stepper sounds of Bunzer0 to the party with a wavy new single. The track goes by the name of 'Loyalty' and combines a range of different influences, including South American percussive lines and classic steppers sub designs, making this one a potent roller for sure. We are also treated to a fantastic remix addition from the legendary RSD, who reworks the track completely into a gritty, nostalgic throwback, packed with Morgue-like bass patterns and lively drum work. Review: It's safe to say that within the vast realms of the dubstep world, Dubploc have risen rapidly to become seen as one of the most consistent projects out there, never faltering in their high quality release output, even for a second. For this latest outing, number 26 to be precise, Coltcuts is enlisted to deliver the heat, which he swiftly does with the lethal, reese like bass growls of 'The Phantom', which sets the project off to a flying start. On the flip side we travel to misty mountain tops and mythic hymns as 'The Vihaan' strikes, twisting Asian sounding vocal tones and vibrant woodwind instrumentation with fantastic results.

Their latest outing sees Coltcuts return for the fifth edition of the 'Dupplates' series, kicking off with the chiming melodic movements and hard hitting drums rops of 'You Said'. From here, we then move into 'My Dear', a serious sub-buster, driven by eastern instrumentation and powerful bass textures, combining with a serious punch. Next, it's on to the VIPs as we firstly check out the dramatic, drum heavy overhaul of 'The Vihaan', before finishing off with the super crunchy synth bass slaps and sharpened snare snaps of 'The Phantom' rework. Review: Dalek One's gone got himself a taser and there's a fat stack of trouble for anyone in his path. Zapping and slapping his way through the foggy low-end swamps with a riff so electric and insistently stabby this record should come with a government health warning, once again it's another stone cold, unmitigated banger from Dalek and Dubploc. And that's before we even get to the spacious rumbles and cosmic tendrils of the Mr K collab on the B. Duploc'd and loaded.

Review: Duploc's the perfect home to Dark Tantrum's brooding, meandering strain of dubstep, so number fifteen in the label's catalogue feels like a master stroke from the label. The Deep Medi associate is absolutely no mood to dither with these two smoking joints; the first one, "31 Seconds" is an ode to mid-90s d&b thanks to that infamous sample, but it's the track's militant low end that makes it stand out and explode out the speakers and onto the floor. "Space Age" is equally venomous in its tone, but here Dark Tantrums churns out the wobble to its very limits, a fuzzy procession of low frequencies that gives the likes of Coki a good run for his money!

Review: Digid is a right old bass jockey, and this new EP for the tenebrous, wobble-friendly DUPLOC is a straight-up kick in the face. That's a good thing, by the way. "The People's War" is dark and murky, a grime-ridden dubstep bullet with a rattling bass and stripped-back drums ready for the killing. "Mash Down" is a dreamier sort of tune, less in your face and more in your mind; Digid proceeds to drop a shattering square bass over sci-fi bleeps and a dubbed-out beat arrangement. Ya dun know!

Review: This is a combination we saw and were filled with joy at the prospect of as Distance links up with the incredibly consistent sounds of Duploc for a futuristic exploration into the evolution of his own sound. We begin with the title track 'Sacrifices', a sub-heavy creeper of a riddim, weaving together stuttered, constantly shifting bass stabs with a sweeping, free-flowing rhythmic structure, before 'Overcome' takes us down a much more spacey road, being driven by a heavily reverberated high end synth pad. Finally, the industrial drum work, gnarly horn arrangements and powerful bass infusions of '808 Snake' puts the final touches on a super impressive arrangement of dubstep originals.

Review: As always with Distance, the legendary dubstep mastermind has once again unleashed a seriously weighty collection with this brand new Duploc drop, giving us a tasty bag of original dubstep flavour to chew upon before the new year commences. We open up with the electrifying intensity of 'Vigilance', a grizzly masterclass in reesey bass work and hard hitting drum designs, followed up very closely by 808 Snake', a heavily syncopated sweet through industrial percussion and fiery horn textures to match. Finally, the more melancholy bop as 'Sacrifice' enters the field of play, linking together bubbling synthetic pops and much harsher atmospheric synth sounds, giving the whole project a spacey outro that closes things off in style for sure!

Review: Dubamine's been pretty quiet since his Soundsystem album in 2014. Now he dips his toes back in the water with this low-key two track single. It's all about moods with this producer, especially on "Mental" which is full of echoey, dark alley sound effects, doomy dubstep beats and pitched down ragga vocal samples. "Rooted" meanwhile has more scattershot drums, digi-bleeps that waft in and out and is shrouded in atmospheric vinyl crackles.

For this latest offering, they celebrate their 100th official drop with a regal arrangement of guests, including the likes of Lost, Wraz, Rugby, Ternion Sound, ENiGMA Dubz and more, all of whom have pulled out their weightiest weapons in combined celebration. If you wanted a full on display of the majesty currently at work within dubstep's deep catacombs, then look no further than this epic selection, with our favourites including the ground mulching bass melodies of Hebbe's 'The Insider', next to Mystic State's warming rework of 'Voice' from Opus, and of course Hamdi's rave-ready synth action explored within 'Immortal'. Featuring the likes of Ternion Sound, Roklem & Sebalo, 11th Hour, Substrada and Gnasha to name a few, they have pulled out all the stops to deliver a truly raucous collection. This project primarily explore the dingier side of the dubstep sphere, with the VIP mix of SBK's 'One Man' providing an eerie, string driven thump, alongside Merricat Black's creepy squelcher in 'Whistler's Paradise' and the drum-heavy rhythms of Dusty's 'Grug'. Our highlights would have to include both the system shaking synth slaps of Elidan's 'Nar' original, alongside the innovative sampling approach of Handsome Tigers' 'Baile Dub'. Review: Across the last 10 years, there aren't many platforms that have given as much energy, time and dedication towards the dubstep scene than Duploc, a platform and entity committed to the betterment and advancement of the original dubwise sound. This collection is a fabulous showcase of the strength they posses as both a label and promotional platform, with 10 of the best delivering absolute weapons, from the swampy bass reverberations of Infekt's 'Kefir', to the Bond-esc bass grooves of Tactics from Ternion Sound and dizzying soundscaping of Juss B's 'Can't Sleep'. The overall project is just dripping in quality, with the likes of ENiGMA Dubz, Oxossi, Mungk, Smith. and Ourman all hard hitting creations. Our highlights have to include the metallic masterclass of Distance's 'Vigilance', showcasing one of the scenes eternal heavyweights, next to the slickly designed sub crunches and bouncy percussive overloads of Hebbe's 'Quotha'. Review: So Duploc are back at it again to give us yet another tasty dosage of steppers flavour as they invite in the multi-talented production stylings of Enigma Dubz for four tracks of pure heat. We kick off with the haunted overtones and warbling LFO structures of 'The Eyes', leading into the more stripped back, sub-driven compositional structure of 'Lurkin'. Review: The Duploc / ENiGMA Dubz collaborative history continues to grow into something truly beautiful as they link up once again for another sizzling display of dubstep mastery. This new project houses four more system-ready scorchers, kicking off with the alarm-like synth melodies and grinding LFO expressions of '40 Fathoms', before 'Earth Giants' unveils an aquatic sounding display of jittering melodic grooves and harmonic structure. From here, the eerie strings and gnarly bass manipulations of 'Silverback' roll into play, once again showcasing the pure finesse we have come to associate with any ENiGMA Dubz creation, before the more emotional designs of 'Too Close To The Sun' close out another killer project with some serious flare. Review: For the second week in a row we see ENiGMA Dubz landing on the legendary Duploc imprint, this time on solo duty as his brand new 'Way Of Life' project is launched in style. We open up with the guttural synthetics of the title track, which through swampy sound design and heavily dubbed out drums give us a hell of a start. Next, alienistic rave tones and moody 808 pulses join forces for 'Clarted', a seriously gnarly original, before 'Silverback' lets fly an even more raucous lead bass instrument, sure to knock a few blocks off in any dance it touches. Finally, 'Lurkin' gives us a much more moogy lead, backed up with spooky string flicks and shaker-heavy rhythms, closing out this project with a mega punch of subby goodness!

First up, ENiGMA himself steps forward on remix duty for 'Wayside', originally crafted by the combined talents of Hebbe, Melle & Mr.K. He twists and reformats this one into a haunted basin of horror-core synth work and delicate drum tap dances, giving us something truly unique. On the flip, the inevitable Ternion Sound arrive just in time to send 'The Eyes' through the remix blender, unleashing an earth shattering combo of bass pulses and flamboyant LFO swipes, providing a potent match for the A-side. Review: As one of Holland's brightest dubstep up and comers, Hebbe has a lot of expectation riding on his shoulders from the dubstep community, having recently released upon J:Kenzo's Artikal music imprint to great success. This time he teams up with the Duploc network for a powerhouse EP, featuring two absolute corker originals. On the A side we hear the monstrous sound design of 'Float Yourself', complete with spacious percussive tones and spooky atmospherics. On the flip we the amphibian arrangement of 'Sword Art' which focuses more on bass rhythms, original synthesis and metallic snare sounds. What an EP this is to kick the year off for both Duploc and Hebbe.

Review: It's always a fine day when we see a link up like this come together, as the incredibly consistent label works of Duploc return to business, this time welcoming the enigmatic production mastery of Hebbe, one of the most creative dubstep warriors out right now. We open up with a jittery slide through unorthodox percussive rhythms and gritty reese sweeps in 'Quotha', which immediately sets the tone for a quirky EP feel, chased up rapidly by incredibly crunchy sound design and fluid synthetics of 'RSNT', again landing on the side of the unpredictable. From here, 'Float Yourself' sees Hebbe release a much more LFO-driven arrangement, focussing on heavy reverns and a nasty lead bassline, before 'Watch Out' sees us out in a blaze of beautiful sub energy, switching between blooming LFO stabs and sharp drum crunches to see us out with a smash.

Being one of the most versatile producers in the land, we often see ENiGMA floating around UKG and bass these days, but to see him back in his home-realm of deep dubstep is always a pleasure. He gets busy here with a disgusting rethink of 'Wayside', rebuilding the original elements from Hebbe, Melle and MR.K into a scrumptious chomper, packed full of spooky pads and grizzly warbling synthesizer fun.

Review: The consistency of dubstep labels such as Duploc in recent years really is something to behold and celebrate, with their latest drop continuing the themes we seem to bring up every time, as Hella drops two beautiful bangers. Firstly, 'Maple Trees In Spring' combines an emotive, Asian sounding string-lead harmonic structure with beefy, well thought out drum structures to create something somehow both introspective and outward facing. On the flip, the slightly quicker tempos and horn driven rhythms of 'Cascades' provide a fantastic level of differentiation, holding both tunes in a well designed balance of subtlety and beauty.

Review: There really does seem to be no slowing the monstrous consistency of the Duploc movement, releasing heavyweight new releases every couple of weeks and pushing new artists forward with great success. This latest collection from Infekt is another spicy bucket of sauce, opening up with the bubbly LFO flutters and crunchy percussive twists of 'Kefir'. Next, the war-ready synthesiser grinds and dubbed out snare delays of 'Atuan' give us a tasty direction to dive down, with 'Away' giving us a much more synthetic feel, focussing on icey melodic drives and a tasty box of subs to match. Finally, 'Allure' gives us a crunchy closer, focussing on hard hitting drum smashes, eastern woodwind flutters and sharpened drum tremors to match. Lovely work!

Review: The new wave of Duploc dominance continues to roll and grow as the times move forward, with this latest four track display from Juss B once again upping the levels in spectacular fashion. We begin with the destructive synthesizer swings and twisted reesey goodness of the title track 'One Time', setting the pace nicely for what's still to come. Next, we jump into Ourman's official remix of 'Sandman', focussing in on the tracks murky, mysterious nature with a booming sub-heavy overhaul, chased up closely by the system-busting bassline action of 'Burn This', which is sure to cause many a ruckus come the reopening of the dances. Finally, 'When Will We' leads the race over the finish line with one of the most pronounced snare-pings we've heard in a hot minute. This whole EP is a fantastic exploration into the darker side of newschool dubstep and we just can't get enough.
