Review: An upcoming American producer who's already shared stages with Skrillex, D.I.M and Switch, Jake Carpenter's The Chaotic Good alias offers up the dirty thrills of "Don't Stay Home" this week on Dirty Fabric. A mutant and chip-tuned banger that mixes breaks, heavy electro with a touch of dubstep gnarl, TCG arranges this chopped and punchy slice of mayhem perfectly.
Review: Chicago label Dirty Fabric return to one of their most ubiquitous tracks of 2011, the collaborative banger from Don Glaude, Paul Anthony, Defunct and ZXX that was "Shake Dat Ass" with a plump selection of peak time remixes. Representing the concrete city that is Milton Keynes, Exodus Leewise turns in a playful remix that retains the hip house vocals from Tory amidst a production that flips effortlessly between cacophonous noise and more euphoric moments, whilst Colorado producer Hollidayrain aptly demonstrates the kind of buzz saw rave sound that is infiltrating the US mainstream. Our tip however is the remix from Canadian producer Marzetti which is dominated by a killer mid range wobble.
