Review: Next up from the Exit team, we see them introduce us to the potent sounds of Leftlow, a unique producer whose stripped back style across this powerful EP are sure to cause many a ruckus. We begin with the sweeping dubstep flavours of 'Queasy', which delivers a shimmering combination of high ended percussion and low end warbles, followed by the skippy kick manoeuvres of 'Green Eyes' and post-grime metal slaps of 'Pistons', giving us three very different directions to explore. From here, the more funky-infused rhythms of 'Distractions' give us a big boost in rhythmic energy, upping the pace significantly, before 'Adrift' yanks us back underground with a sweltering display of subby goodness. Finally, the spacious perc clicks and tidy pads of 'Thoughtful' round off our journey with a smart finale. Lovely work!

Review: Kicking up some new, dusty and frenetic sounds for Exit Records is the emergent Sun People, a solo project known for stand out releases before this on labels like Modern Ruin, Disko404 and Hyperboloid (thanks to a rare 2015 long player). Concentrating here once again on the EP format, Sun People conjures up a mixology of uptempo and hybrid fusions, be it the juke and drum and bass induced "Rich Man Poor Man" to the fluttering percussion and subbed-out basslines of "Spirits". Deeper, stuttering footwork sounds make it into "To Give" (an EP highlight) with some edgier, topped-out drums keeping it levelled in "Main Squeeze". Rain dancing with Sun People.

Review: A brand-new album from dBridge? What did we ever do to deserve this? We're not sure, but what Weak Or No Signal absolutely is is a treat, a special present to take us into 2021 and it sees dBridge returning to 170bpm in a manner we haven't heard in quite some time. Almost this entire album sits at drum & bass tempo and the creative ethos present chimes with dBridge's spotless history of production innovation: sparse, abstract and yet grounded within the urban groove of drum & bass' storied past. Let's start at the end, with final track 'They're Listening', which sets the percussive tone early on and doesn't stray from it, a remorseless stepper which is placed in eerie soundscapes and foreboding ambience. There's bouncy basslines on 'Dark Plains', hypnotic synth work on 'HMT13' and nonchalant funk on 'N0rm'. A sensational LP from one of the masters.

Review: Now this is most certainly an interesting one as Exit unveil yet another incredibly unique project, inviting the sounds of Borderlandstate and The Best Kisser In LA in together for an incredibly vibrant five track selection. This is electronic bass music in it's most creative, kicking off with the glitchy computer bleeps of 'The Happy Goose' and post-breakbeat fusion of 'SE17'. Up next, the incredibly colourful percussive flavours of 'Pattern Collapse' and spacey, spooked out sub pressure of 'Interlinked', before the industrial rhythms and choppy vocal layers of the title track 'Hello Mainframe' round us off with a final dab of flavour.

Review: The Fibonacci Sequence is in everything... It's in the patterns of pinecones, the eye of a hurricane, the swirl of the galaxies... And now in your own collection as man like Skeppy returns with his first fresh produce since his debut album last yeah Enjoy This Trip. Four cuts deep, all rumbling with Skeptacular bassweight, it's a stark return to form for the influential producer. "Charge" is a proper bulldozer roller vibe, "Snail Trail" is a graveyard ballet creeper while "Mechanism" has a proper waspish mischievous buzz running through the groove. Last but not least we have the deep brooding title track. Proper percussive rolling headnodder, fans of "Imperial" will be all over this. Exceptional.

Review: Snapping at the heels of his recent collabo with Total Science, Metalheadz mandem Jubei makes his Exit debut with these two outstanding pieces. "Cold Heart" is actually pretty warm hearted with his signature synth whirls, hopeful chords and those rolling, almost Calibreish breaks. Meanwhile "Just A Little Dubplate" does everything you'd want it to from its title; it bumps, rolls and comes with a heads down guarantee. Heavily rotated at last year's Sun & Bass, we've been waiting for this for a while now.

Review: Unless you've been asleep since March or you've accidentally found this review while looking up an old school mate who happens to be called Richie (or Richard) Brains then you'll know EXIT played this mystery out in style. We all had suspicions on his identity but not even the biggest forum nerd could guess that it's actually Alix Perez, Chimpo, Fixate, Fracture, Om Unit, Sam Binga and Stray. Seven men, each one decorated and respected, their skills culminating in a body of work that's part funk ("Game Shades"), part Carptenarian cinematica ("Sk8 M8") part woozy, wonky halftime ("The Blips") part grime ("Bring Dat Back") part D&B beauty ("Voyage") and all gully. It's going to be hard to find a release more deserving of the title 'album of the year' this year.

Review: Damon Kirkham long proved his status as a man of many genre-blurring aliases and projects before he added the Kid Drama moniker to his discography. Three years on and it's proved a worthy creative outlet for the Convex Industries man, and the Covering Ground EP finds him back on Exit, the label that debuted the Kid Drama sound. Ranging from the deep dark pneumatic rolls of "Red Magic" to the somnambulant soft-focus steps and alluring chord chang of "Luv" by way of the autonomic skips of "Wasted Time" Kid wears his heart(drive) on his sleeve throughout. Genuinely sublime.

Review: Fresh from his "Hammerhead" escapades on Aquatic Lab, Dave Jones dons his Zed Bias guise for another slippery bass session. This time he takes the footwork formula and twists it inside out in a way only he knows how: "Driftin" soothes with jazzy chords and velvet vocals from Zoel Violet, "Fever" is all about the dense physical drum arrangements while "Hipbounce" is a sonic sandstorm of soca and occasional UKG bass belches. Unique as always.

Review: The Module Eight dust hasn't even begun to settle and Skeptical lets rip with a monolithic four-piece: "Loophole" is a lesson in minimalist momentum where funk can be found in the smallest glitches and elements, "Parallax" is a timeless rattle-and-shaker with a vocal loop peaks and troughs between the precision punctuated steppy beats and "Between The Lines" sees him recruiting one of drum & bass's most distinctive voices as Collette Warren does the jazz thing over a rifle like two-tone bassline. "Just One Kiss" closes the show on a toxic, stark halftime feel for good measure. Impressive from the outset.

Review: dBridge, Skeptical, Loxy, Resound and Kid Drama: The Binary Collective was a stupidly strong supergroup in itself, but Module Eight just takes the piddle in the heavyweight stakes - both sonically and personally. Combining all player's strengths and signatures into one beautifully moody long player each cut teeters over the precipice of both timelessness and futurism. Highlights include the guttural 60-a-day bass croaks of "Ghost", the eerie twisted dancehall bangs of "Rudeboy", the mid 90s echoes and rumbles of "Legacy" and the genius processed vocal rhythm hits on "Lost Eden". These are just a small handful of highlights in an album that commands full attention both on the decks and headphones. Eighters gonna eight.

Review: Joe Seven's output has been minimal since his first two EP's for Exit back in 2011, and we've been awaiting his return with excitement ever since. He returns to D Bridge's quality household with a surprise album, thirteen tracks of sci-fi dance music ranging from glitchy d&b, to stripped-back techno. In fact, the sounds on here truly remind us od the infamous Exit podcasts that D Bridge himself used to compile alongside Boddika and Jon Convex, where sliding breaks meet swarms of ambient and drone. Tracks like "Dual" or "Vertica" could be enjoyed by anyone with a slight interest in futuristic dance music, and they sound so cutting-edge due to their total lack of negligence for genres of current trends. There are also moments of spine-tingling beatless euphoria, such as the tenebrous "Providence". Whichever flag you wave, this is pure quality. Warmply recommended.

Review: Exit supergroup Binary Collective (comprising dBridge, Joe Seven, Kid Drama and Consequence) lay down their debut document? And it?s every shade of retro-stated future you?d hoped it would be. Diving deep into the analogue abyss, each cut attempts to out-deep the next while remaining well weighted and groove-focused. ?Binary Theme? is Moroder on Mogadon, ?In Pursuit? is a car chase in toxic treacle, ?Cloud Creeping? is what triphop would sound like if it was invented 20 years later while ?Sentries Watch Us? sounds like one of Parliament?s more experimental jams but played and recorded under water. These daft comparisons are just the tip of the iceberg, though ? it?s hard to reference music as matchless as this? Listen and interpret it in your own universe.

Review: Emerging beat-conjurer Fixate joins the Exit family with an arresting quad of cuts. "Throwback Thursday" (which has been heavily supported by the likes of Friction) gives us an Outlander-style detuned synth hook that's hard to its very core. "Percussive Aggressive" plays with time signatures like they're play-doh while "N2O" does that awesome techy/steppy minimal thing that seems to be a prerequisite for all Exit artists. Finally "Alive" is awash with immersive vocal harmonised synths and driven by snake-like percussive momentum. A really impressive label debut, Fixate ain't no quick-fix situation; he's here for the long one.

Bringing the heavyweight depths direct from the North, "Imperial" shows a definite progression in his sound from his more minimal productions. Although space plays a big role in his work even still, there's a dizzying heartbeat of bass waveforms in flux in the title track, stripped bare in "Playground Chat" and used in devastating blows in "Delusions of Grandeur" behind warped effects. Final tune "Instant Reflex" brings back more of his jittery percussion to leave you feeling a bit tweaky.

Review: The man behind the deepest MC voice the UK has ever known, Chimpo also runs a very fine line in beats. He's nowhere near as prolific as he should be. But when he does start the engine up, it purrs like a Bugatti. The turbo-charged footwork-meets-jungle "Restless Leg Syndrome" drives like one too. Deeper into the release we strike swaggering, waspy halfstep gold on "Haymaker", we get dangerous on the stark, spacious almost trap-like title track, we hit tribal insanity on the loopy vocal-coated "Bun It" and trippy insanity on the wonked-out, weirded-up "Dumb". Out, bad and essential.

Review: Last seen on Exit back in 2012 with the excellent Get Busy drop, Charlie 'Fracture' Fieber returns to the label and shows off his Loving Touch on an EP that really ups the production ante. Centre stage here is undoubtedly the title track which looks to two eras of Chicago for inspiration, skilfully borrowing (officially no less) from Ralph Rosario's Chicago House classic "You Used To Hold Me", and rebooting it to a 160bpm footwork flex which retains some UK bassweight and elements of Fracture's own D&B roots. From here Fracture drops a carnival classic in the making in the shape of Machinedrum favourite "Werk It", collaborates with Sam Binga on the 808 club burner "Grippin' Grain" (apparently conceived during a wicked hangover) and ends on a decidedly rude note with the junglist breaks n bass line business of "Overload".

Review: We won't insult your intelligence by explaining who Stray is, but suffice to say that so far, he's not put a foot wrong as far as we're concerned. Since Halogenix and Ivy lab are both in the process of putting EPs together, to have Stray fixing up the missing piece of the puzzle on Exit couldn't be a more perfect resolution. Creating painstakingly produced tunes that somehow sound rounded and lived-in is his forte, and out of miniscule sounds that catch his ear he's created something remarkable. If you like your beats on the experimental side, do yourself a favour and pick this up.

Review: We'd love to tell you this EP is Fis's tribute to the House Of Commons. But we won't. Because he's based in New Zealand and doesn't really have much time for British politics. Instead we'll focus on the many strengths of this wondrously packed six track deep dancefloor dub workout... "Steeper" is a major stand out for us thanks to its fine use of pan pipes (a very hard instrument to nail without sounding rubbish, if you ask us), the rusty looping rhythm on "We Cross Tracks" is also most alluring in a hypnotising dancehall style. The title track is also a 'must-have' as ghostly, warped sounds weave their way around a jilted beat pattern to deadly effect. Dark? Yes. Enlightening? You betcha...

Review: We last saw Amit in 2011 with his critically acclaimed 9 Times LP on Commercial Suicide, which brought together a unique blend of sounds and concepts and united them into one. Here he returns, this time on D Bridge's Exit Records, with a four-track EP which is equally stunning. "You Look Better Dead (featuring Rani)" is a melancholic piece with booming bass, rattling breaks and mournful lyrics. "Manic Minor" switches things up with frenetic SFX bleeping in the background, booming subs and barely there percussion. "Stay With Me" is all about the instrumental swells and "Kritical" gets dark and menacing as the EP draws to a close.
